Pacemaker surgery
Hello everyone I am likely to be having a
pacemaker
fitting soon and the idea of the surgery is really freaking me out. I think it's because it's done under local anaesthetic and so I'll see them doing it. For people that have had the surgery, how was it and how did you feel afterwards?

Afib and Atrial tachycardia ...
Hi all, Long story short, I've had arrhythmia for years, Afib and SVT. 4 ablations later, last year they fitted me with a dual chamber
pacemaker
and had an AV Node ablation.

moving pacemaker
August 2023 I had a
pacemaker
fitted after a heart attack. September the
pacemaker
moved. I called the hospital and was told if I am not in pain everything is okay. The
pacemaker
has since moved again and is pressing on my skin leaving a bruise.

I was fitted with a

Sinus arrest
Good morning I wondered whether there is anyone on here who is in their 30s or 40s and has had a
pacemaker
fitted as they have bradycardia and sinus arrest? I recently found out that I have sinus arrest and am feeling very anxious about the
pacemaker
fitting.

Palpations at the same time every night
I have a
pacemaker
crt device as of May 2023 for heart failure. I previously had a
pacemaker
(not crt) since 2016 for complete heart block. The causes for both are unknown. I was 18 when I got my first
pacemaker
and 25 when I got the CRT.

Pacemaker and skiing.
I’ve skied many times before but never since having my
pacemaker
for heart block fitted. My main concern is going through the lift pass gates onto the lift, has anyone in a similar position had any experience with this and if so was it ok, did they have any effects on their
pacemaker
?

Waiting times........
A Clinical Physiology visit yielded the new that my
Pacemaker
check showed that the battery level dictated a replacement. Aware of the national discussions about waiting times I naturally asked the obvious question and was reassured with "2-3 weeks". !!

Just wondered if its safe to use an ultrasonic pest repeller in a house with a
pacemaker
resident? The manufacturer says check with a doctor - I guess they are covering themselves
