pacemaker and afib
when I had a
pacemaker
3 years ago I felt great. Hill walking was a breeze had lots of energy and slept well. 18 months later diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation, energy zapped, can’t do the hills the same, sleeping poor! I want and need to lose weight but for some reason it’s creeping up.

Resting HR and pacemaker settings
I'm tempted to ask whether the
pacemaker
can be set at 55 instead because I feel this is more natural for me, and perhaps slightly healthier if the heart is worked a little less hard. Any thoughts?

What is Afib?
I have a CRP-
Pacemaker
since 2022. Also on all the usual medications. At first everything was ok and I felt really well. I have been discharged to GP care.

After the pacemaker
Finally, after soooo many tests, mistaken diagnoses and trips to A&E, I am to have a
pacemaker
fitted. What can I expect afterwards? Will I be able to lose the weight I have put on since starting heart meds?

Iatrogenic pneumothorax from pacemaker procedure.
I’m grateful for the
pacemaker
and believe it will bring to an end the nightmarish merry-go-round at the Afib Circus of drugs, cardioversions, and ablations. We’ll see, I guess. I’m delightedly done with drugs now that I have a Watchman and a
pacemaker
.

pace maker and node ablation
However because I have a monitor with my
pacemaker
the pacing clinic called me to say that I have been in AF consistently. It is now permanent and I have really run out of options.
