High vagal tone.

Hi all, I've been under the cardiologist for a few years now and I've had many test along the way. I've been told I have mild lvh, a leaking mitral valve, sometimes I'm breathless and tired with bouts of bradycardia too. I had an ILR fitted 16 months ago to try and find out the reason for the bradycardia etc and was told I might need a pacemaker but it's still ongoing. I eventually had a face to face appointment with the cardiologist last wk the first in 3 years and he now thinks it may be down to a high vagal tone/nerve? He said this might pass but if I'm still symptomatic in 9 months at my next appointment then he will speak to other doctors about a pacemaker. Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks

Taz.

i have no experience of this myself but have come across it in another group - many with Vagal issues there find that techniques like breathing exercises and meditation are helpful
