AVnode ablation
I have a
pacemaker
with wires in my ventricles and my heart rate is very well controlled. It's the afib which is so bothersome. After discussion with my drs, my EP is pushing the AV node ablation. But to tell you the truth, it's scary for me. What is your experience if you have had it?

Post op mitral valve
They have now recommended I have ablation to take away the node that beats and replace it with a permanent
pacemaker
that will beat in place of it. As you can imagine I am terrified that I will have to go through same process of having the tube inserted so have declined the procedure at present.

Pacemaker seat belt and bra tips.
Thank you so much everybody for your replies to my question about bra straps and seat belts. I am bowled over by the kindness of the responses. This is an excellent site. Thank you.

Hi all, For context, I am a busy 53 year old teacher with
pacemaker
corrected bradycardia (heart block). I have well controlled blood pressure but take 3 different tablets to make it optimal. Here’s the juice: I am often dizzy and find walking sometimes difficult (weak and clumsy).

Apixaban, bleeding ulcer and stroke risks
My wife, early 80s, has previously had a mitral valve repair,
pacemaker
fitted, Suffers from AF and takes candesartan, sotalol, apixaban and furosemide. Last week she coughed up blood, called ambulance, admitted to A&E and endoscopy suggested bleeding ulcer in upper GI tract.

Fluctuating BP
Hi , I have a
pacemaker
due to heart block and non compaction. I take among other things bisoprolol and candesartan. Lately my blood pressure fluctuates between 103/68 and 146/102 , I’m getting headaches quite often and get a bit light headed at times.

Pacemaker and Reiki with Crystal Healig
Now I have a
pacemaker
about 4 weeks, and wonder what the effect of crystals might be? Starting to research, and Judy Hall's Crystal Bible 2, advises that Zircon may cause dizzyness in those with pacemakers (or who are epileptic). My Reiki healer has voiced caution, and is researching also.

2) For anyone in the UK who has decided to go private, are you happy to share approx costs for a defib
pacemaker
? My heart stopped for 24 seconds on the seizure they monitored, so I’m anxious and my whole world is changing. Just trying to look for some answers and a way forward. thanks x

Palpations at the same time every night
I have a
pacemaker
crt device as of May 2023 for heart failure. I previously had a
pacemaker
(not crt) since 2016 for complete heart block. The causes for both are unknown. I was 18 when I got my first
pacemaker
and 25 when I got the CRT.

Entresto medication.
I have a
pacemaker
and reduced Left ventricule ejection fraction of 35%. I have been taking Entresto 24/26mg twice a day for approx 5 weeks now. I am feeling better after being on them but was wondering if anyone else that takes Entresto have had any side effects and if so what are they. ?

Pacemaker surgery
Hello everyone I am likely to be having a
pacemaker
fitting soon and the idea of the surgery is really freaking me out. I think it's because it's done under local anaesthetic and so I'll see them doing it. For people that have had the surgery, how was it and how did you feel afterwards?

Pacemaker and ultrasonic repellers
Just wondered if its safe to use an ultrasonic pest repeller in a house with a
pacemaker
resident? The manufacturer says check with a doctor - I guess they are covering themselves

Triggers
The reason I ask is that I had a mug fall just before bed and spent the night and following morning in A/F and as I have a
pacemaker
and take heart meds this was unusual for me. I did read a post about this happening to another hence my enquiry........or did I dream it!!!

VNS query
However, the manikin has a magnet inside the body of doll and so there is a standard warning that there is a chance it could interfere with a
pacemaker
or implanted electronic device. Has anyone had any experiences of any thing the same or similar??
