CA125 rise but clear PET/CT scan
Hi everyone, I have been going through this OC journey with my partner for the past year. She was diagnosed with OC 3C in August 2020 and has been on Avastin for almost a year now after chemo. We have stopped Avastin just recently. For the last 3 CA125 checks, her levels has risen steadily from 6, 17

Avastin with Olaparib dilemma. Who to go to for a 2nd opinion?
My onc. First said I could make a decision on whether I have Avastin with Olaparib or just Olaparib. Later said the group meeting advised Olaparib without Avastin best way to go for me as I have congenital Ehlers Danlos Syndrome which makes all my soft tissues too stretchy and prone to long term 2 year

Further Treatment?
Well, it looks like the Rubraca didn't work for me. I have had Carbo/Taxol, Avastin, Carbo/Caelyx then Rubraca. The oncologist is going to examine the scan and then we will be having a face to face meeting. Had anyone got any idea what they might try next? I am just hoping that there is something else

High CA-125, yet no symptoms
I was diagnosed with Ovarian serous adenocarcinoma, Grade 3c in 9/2017. I had a TOTAL hysterectomy, and debaulking. First round of chemo was carbo-taxol - responded well. Two years later I had a recurrence and had a second round of carbon-gemzar and avastin and responded well. In March of 2020 I started

Silicone lubricant "seeks its own"
Immediately after my first injection from a new injector, at a new practice, (inj of Eylea), I saw my bubble of silicone (which was originally from an Avastin inj, using a stick-on needle type syringe , I had received years ago) larger and more dramatically than ever before. This large black disc

Rucaparib.....what's it like to take
Hi all I'm new to the forum I'm hoping I can get support and offer support to others. My query is I'm just about to start Rucaparib and was wondering how people who are also taking this get on with it. I'm aware that there can be side effects, how common are these. Any tips for managing these? How long

Advice on making an individual funding request
Hi, Has anyone successfully made an NHS England individual funding request? My Mum has had a reoccurance of her stage 3 ovarian cancer. For some reason she was not offered Avastin as first line treatment, which is funded on the NHS. There is strong evidence it works for second line, but its not NHS

Leg cramps
Does anyone here get leg cramps that wake you up from sleep. I’m now taking Avastin only and I’ve been having pains in my calves as well as my neck but only at night. What do you do about it. ?

Unlike , many of you , I wait for my appointment so my Dr can read them first . , happy 😊 to report it was a good one . I am maintenance chemo with Avastin and Lynparza. I leave all of the decisions

Hi everyone
I have just been to see one of the oncologists she is based in Southampton. The first thing she said was how great I looked. My surgery was 3 and half weeks ago. She also said I could eat a normal diet. I still have microscopic bits of the disease but still have 2 chemotherapy’s left. I would go avastin

2nd Recurrence
Hello Angels, A big thank you for putting up your stories out here. It really gives me hope everyday that we can beat this disease. So, now here I am, bit afraid, on my mom's OC 2nd Recurrence. She was diagnosed with 3C OC in 2016. First recurrence was in 2018, nearly after 3.5 years. Now, its increasing

What to expect with avastin?
Afternoon everyone, it’s been a bit since I posted. I hope you’re all doing ok. Mum starts avastin today, then olaparib in tablet form in a few weeks. I’m just wondering if anyone has any experience of these targeted therapies and how you got on? Mums terrified about side affects etc…I know there are

Anyone here been on tecentriq (atezo) and avastin (bev) for long?
I've not read much in the forum about these two drugs, mostly it seems people are getting pembro. Would love to know how people are getting on if you've been on these two for a long time. How long have you been on it? Any on-going side effects? Have you stopped it? I know the immunos can sometimes

Bathroom issues on avastin/doxil/carbo
Hi ladies, I hope everyone is as well as possible. My mom is currently on avastin, doxil and carbo for her first reoccurance and having bathroom issues. Every time she eats something (every other day) has horrible diarrhea for hours. She eats a very plain diet - spaghetti, chicken, plain, plain food

Avastin v niraparib maintenance
Morning! I’m HGSOC stage 4 BRCA neg, HRP , one chemo left then onto maintenance. I have a choice of avastin or niraparib. My onc favours the PARP inhibitor. How have others made the choice?? From the research it seems v marginal either way. Thank you, Charlotte x
