Hi. I started on Avastin 3 months ago with no side effects. Started Olaparib 6 weeks ago. Get tired and nauseous same time every day for about an hour. Have a piece of toast and lie down then im fine. Been told the side effects can be cumulative so may get more of it or it may ease off. Dont have the energy i used to have but if the combo works thats a small price to pay

Hello, I have had both separately. Avastin no issues, just nosebleeds. Olaparib…bit nauseated to begin with, fatigue. Now it’s been about 4 months suddenly got my energy back…so all good atm. x

I , too , am on the same combo . I was on Olaparib before and had to stop because the dose was much too high for me . My doctor put me back on it at a reduced dose and so far I am tolerating it well . My leg muscles ache and before I take it I take one 40mgOmeprazole capsule which stops any upset stomach , I am careful not to eat anything too acdic , my appetite is also affected .Sometimes , I eat soup or cereal for dinner or make a high protein shake .

I do get tired and sleep deeper and longer .

I take the Lynparza or Olaparib in the evening which works for me .

Also , I keep Kefir in the house and that too helps sooth my stomach .

Hope this helps , good luck , I think these combos affect us all slightly differently depending on our body chemistry.

I agree with suzannebirch if it works its ok !! Thinking of you , wishing ❤ you all the best !

Thanks for all the comments. It appears that we share the common side effects that are somewhat manageable. I have been on Olaparib/Lynparza for 3 months and got my energy back. Lets continue to keep each other updated on concerns or progress. Thanks again for responses.

yes, I too get muscle aches, more after exercising. I try to do floor stretching, but my muscles are tight and somewhat painful to stretch.

Hi Mswhoffman.I hope you are well and staying strong.I am in same combo.I am very tired.with no energy..lynparza drains me.I was on it from last June and just figured I have recurrence and starting next week should take Carbo/Doxyl with Avastin. For now I'll stop Lynparza per my doctor because all of it would be too toxic .Now my muscles feel Soo soar also I feel my bones are in pain I can't even lift my hands up..but it doesn't usually happen. All of us are different we just need to be constantly monitored not to miss anything important .I see my doctor and do blood tests at least monthly that's how we noticed my Car 125 jumped from 4 to 21 than 32 ..Praying that this combo will lower it and will work for me.Hope all the best for you dear.Stay strong and believe that You are going to beat this.

HiI've been on Olaparib for just over a year (no avastin) and tolerate it well now that I'm on a lower dose of 300mg per day. (A higher dose at the beginning knocked me sideways and resulted in a blood transfusion!)

Fatigue is still ongoing, but no real nausea. Stomach is VERY sensitive, but a high carb, fairly bland diet seems to work well. Food cravings and likes/dislikes vary from week to week! My main advice would be to not overdo things - getting tired and/or stressed makes any stomach problems worse. Best wishes
