Alternating cannabis and pramipexole
They're following the Mayo algorithm so I have to do this before they'll consider
opioids
. I've tried pregabalin, etc without success. Starting pramipexole on .125mg, up to max .75mg. I'm too scared to take them due to potential augmentation and the horror stories.

Still Looking for Suggestions
I have something for nighttime but the US is so paranoid from the abuse of
opioids
that only a miracle would help me find and get an appointment in the next 6 months with a doctor that would prescribe them.

What should I expect at the end?
He was mobile up until a week ago and that’s when his pain became uncontrollable, although he was not taking his
opioids
(he was many months without them - not needing them) and was being stubborn.

Opioids and Paracetamol.
I'm not sure what the alternives are for extra pain relief while on
opioids
, that don't cause more problems. Just passing on my personal experience.

Urgently seeking pain management tips
I know there’s plenty of women here who have pain so I am curious if there are other alternatives that are not
opioids
that have worked successfully for you? (Oh, and my liver mets have increased so I think the codeine things are not good for that.) Probably this week I will start on Xeloda :(

Looking for some guidance please
I know about the groups guidance to wean off slowly but am concerned about getting through this as things are already so bad and when I tried last fall I was going bananas. 2) I never hear of anyone in the group using hydromorphone yet I hear of people using many other types of
opioids
such as Buprenorphine

Interesting update for those in the UK whose GP practice has Buprenorphine red listed
Next I had to find a consultant who would be open to prescribing
opioids
. I decided to take a risk on Dr Robin Fackrell at the Sulis Hospital in Bath. He charges £265 for an initial consultation, significantly less than Professor Matthew Walker (£360). I found Dr Fackrell to be very receptive.

Severe muscle pain after walking
For months I took prescription
opioids
and baclofen at the full dose I was allowed, 24/7. My pain doctor said I needed a baclofen pump for that and tight muscles in my neck area.

RLS journey- question of pain…
It does go off with
opioids
/ pain killers (I also have fibromyalgia) so this interferes with sleep. Has anyone else had similar experiences?? Thank You

I’m disappointed as I’ve read lots of positive results of people using
opioids
. Thank you.

Any last advice before I embark on the battle to try Buprenorphine? Should I increase my pregabalin dose?
In the meantime I've started to wonder whether I've done everything possible to avoid the need for
opioids
. My main question is about my pregabalin dose, and whether a higher dose might be worth a shot.

Buprenorphine is not that harmless
dear (some) forum members, please stop recommending buprenorphine as if it were nothing. a serious side effect can be (if not even: will be) neuroinflammation (microglia-mediated inflammatory response) because it blocks the kappa opioid receptor, unlike other
opioids
. this is serious.

Dipyridamole didn't work for me
The standard advice for weaning off DAs only mentions using
opioids
as a last resort. I don't know how I could survive one night, let alone a few months, of no DA (or reduced dose)and no opioid. I'm generally fairly pain-tolerant, but maybe I'm a real baby when it comes to RLS.

neuropathic pain from paralysed arm (trauma)
Having been to a pain clinic in England which consistent of not medical staff introducing information about
opioids
use, mindfulness and pacing. A lot I had already learned myself so this wasn’t really useful to me.
