Pain Clinic for RLS
But since the long term treatment is low dose
opioids
, I figure I'll have to go there. Just wanted to know if your pain docs help you or how your experience has been with them.

Pain relief for Pernicious Anemia numbness etc.
has given me prescription for Gabapentin, Tramadol and Acetaminophen with Codeine (both
opioids
which I don’t take). I know with Pernicious Anemia, I should avoid NASIDS and other pain meds. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Once again thanking you all in advance for your all your help.

RLS After Broken Femur
I knew this happened when withdrawing from
opioids
but it hasn't settled after 3 weeks and she is getting about 3 hours sleep. I suggested she ask her GP for temporary meds like clonidine to deal with the opioid withdrawal symptoms and the RLS.

Urgent help from someone who is located in the USA and being prescribed opioid
Hi, It would be nice for anyone who has been prescribed
opioids
by the USA doctors to provide their providers' name and location to help each other who is in need for
opioids
but has no access to find a doctor, especially in an emergent situation.

Let down...again !
When I wrote my last post I was so full of hope and felt happy again. I had forgotten what that was like! However, my original Dr. has overruled my new Dr. and once again I am getting no help or support and I am feeling so depressed. I have had 3 day's where the pain has been unbearable and yesterday

NY Times article on how the opioid crisis affects people in chronic pain
All - FYI, here is a guest essay from today's New York Times talking about the problems that have been created by the rules restricting the prescription of
opioids
. I'm grateful that this point is at least getting some major press coverage.

Natural relief for opioid constipation
Hi, like many of us I suffer with really bad constipation as the result of taking
opioids
. I take morphine and it successfully controls my RLS but the GI side effects are awful. Currently I am taking Laxido but would prefer to manage the constipation naturally long term if possible.

From RLS foundation; call to action for opioid prescribing guidelines (CDC)
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is revising its 2016 Opioid Prescribing Guidelines, and this is an opportunity for the RLS community to raise our voices about the appropriate use of
opioids
in the management of severe cases of RLS.

CDC reconsidering guidelines for opiate use. This affects RLS sufferers.
RLS.org is asking us to send comments to the Center for Disease Control about our use of
opioids
to treat our symptoms, as the CDC is reconsidering guidelines for their appropriate use and how they can be prescribed. Please don’t think this is only for Americans. ( See below.)

Running & restless legs
So for me I would prefer to run every day, have a massage once or twice a week & sleep well instead of taking
opioids
which make me sick. I’m worried that I will damage my joints & that this intervention will stop working just like everything else. What are other people’s experiences?

finding a doctor who prescribes opioid for RLS
I think this is a very legitimate concern because of the unwillingness of conventional doctors of prescribe any
opioids
in the USA. Any thought on that? If anyone also shares the same doctor as I do and is located in the USA.

Years ago women were given Valium and were fobbed off constantly blaming womens mental health. turning them into
opioids
dependent. Be honest and upfront with women. Everyone has the same story to tell. It’s sad but true.

CBD and RLS
I have not tried marijuana or
opioids
(and don't plan to...) BUT NOW....my CBD supplier (Luvive) has developed a new CBD Sleep. I am using it (1 mL at bedtime) and it seems, seems to lessen onsets.

New approach to pain management
Many of us are only too aware of the negative side effects of steroids,
opioids
etc and for me, any approach that does not depend on such is worth investigating.
