Olaparib

I always thought the Olaparib worked at least to some extent for all the BRCA active patients.......

I will now stop all current treatment and in 3 weeks will start a clinical trial of oral combination, cediranib and olaparib, or just olaparib depending on my full body MRI next week.

which starts with Taxol then adds in cedanarib and finally olaparib ( both know effective and exciting for some women!) which mean we would move up to Manchester. Scary to leave my support team daughter etc behind! Final choice : Taxol - again - starring on 12 th June on my 60th birthday (!!)

He spoke before of olaparib but for some reason I can’t have that. He said the two are similar. Hopefully 🤞 it’s not the bloody gremlin and something less similar. I hope all you ladies are all doing ok. You’re always a fantastic support to me xxxx .

Dear All The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) are reviewing olaparib for non-BRCA women.

I've read a lot that this can be the side effects of Olaparib, so I went to the docs who prescribed Gaviscon advance to relieve the acid but still struggling!! is this normal for Olaparib users or am I right to be a bit panicked that the bugger is back so soon? Not feeling great at all to be fair..

Her NP has stated that she wants my mom to go on a PARP inhibitor after treatment is finished, giving us the choice of which to choose (out of three), but suggesting Olaparib.

I've had 3 rounds of chemo and now on olaparib just started them 3 days ago. Is anyone else on them no one at my local hospital is on them. Just wandering what side effects women are having.

Normal oncologist was not to keen on Avastin or olaparib - so see what gyne oncologist says - as he actually runs some clinical trials. Normal oncologist stated that when chemo is started again - it will be Taxol and Carbo - as she had such a wonderful response to it first line.

Anyone got any storied they can share of Olaparib in this settling?

And are there other options now if the Olaparib stops working...?

Had scan Feb 14th & it showed no further growth on the tumours and on a couple actually shrunk so I was really pleased & was put on Olaparib.

Hello ladies, I have been told I can start Olaparib now that I have finished third line treatment, I completed 20 weeks of Carbo / Gemzar Feb 8th. How long did you ladies who are on this drug wait to get started on it? I'm a little anxious as its been a few weeks now.

The proper categorization matters because I am eligible for the abiraterone olaparib trial if I am castration resistant. Has anyone else been down this road? Any thoughts on how I should be categorized?
