Share your story about "scanxiety"
If you have been living with lung cancer, you most likely have faced “scanxiety.” To say that waiting to have a scan done and then waiting for the results is “stressful” feels like a huge understatement. A scan result can mean that your cancer is smaller or has disappeared. Or a scan can mean that

Doing my research i have found WHEN DNA error occurs you body try's to fix one error but that one fix leads to more. But how and why CONNECTED as eluded me. Take one of my inherited conditions or DNA mutations

Hi all, I started my clinical trial today and I found out I am the first patient to start this trial nation wide and the only patient in tennessee. When it's in full swing there will be just over a hundred participants . I have to admit letting them do radiation to my brain was the most uncomfortable

Today we had a consultation to speak about radiotherapy but as she may have lupus ( tests keep coming back as positive and negative ) the consultant said that because small cell lung cancer usually spreads

Introducing myself
I was diagnosed with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in May 2011. After two chemotherapy regimes and two radiation protocols, my cancer became metastatic. I used information obtained in online forums to get my tumor tissue tested for newer molecular markers and find a precision medicine

Finding a Balance - 7 Ideas for Not Being All Lung Cancer All the Time
Does it seem like every conversation you have ends up being about your lung cancer? Is it the first thing you think about in the morning, the last thing you think about at night? Are your social media feeds one cancer related item after another? Do you wish sometimes that you could just live, and not

Good News Using Iressa
My friend was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer in December 2016 and started Iressa in January 2017. She was put on Iressa after biopsy showed a gene mutation. At the 60 day mark we went in for update scan which showed main tumor in lung decreased in size by almost half. We were taking 250mg once
