Delirium - infection, dexamethasone withdrawal or brain mets??
She had to come off this prior to starting
Nivolumab
on Wednesday. Anyway she was diagnosed with pneumonia and a urine infection and given strong IV antibiotics and fluids for dehydration. However the confusion (or delirium) has not improved since the infection has gotten slightly better.

Checkpoint inhibitor therapy.
A 2012 trial of
Nivolumab
(BMS-936558) included 17 men with CRPC [3]: "No objective responses were observed in patients with ... prostate cancer." There had been an assumption that PCa cells expressed PD-L1.

Question re: decision to stop mum's treatment
We argued that surely only 3 treatments wasn't enough to determine if the
Nivolumab
could make a difference and they agreed to continue for a while longer and she recovered well from the pneumonia.

Navelbine tablet form
I was lucky enough to be accepted for immunotherapy
nivolumab
which worked for 12 months with hardly any side effects. Unfortunately 8 weeks ago my liver enzymes shot up so was no longer in the criteria. I've just had scan results and cancer has grown but by very small amount.

nivolumab plus ipilimumab compared to pembrolizumab
ICER for
nivolumab
plus ipilimumab compared to pembrolizumab is likely to be less than £30,000 per QALY gained in the mixed population of BRAF mutation-positive and mutation-negative advanced melanoma when the patient access scheme prices were used in the model.

Nivolumab (Opdivo)
My oncologist is going to try
Nivolumab
(Opdivo). Has anybody else experienced a similar history? While we all are different, I'd like to hear about the experience. It would be wonderful if the fatigue eased up. Thank you, John
