Immuno-therapy Nivolumab & Ipilimumab - update

Julesgettingthere profile image

Hello everyone, Jules here again (on behalf of mum).

We went to our appointment today at our local 'Cancer hospital' and its good news - they will take mum on this new trial.

The trial has only just 'opened' and she is the first participant at this hospital.

I know someone here was asking to be kept informed about the trial details, possibly for themselves - i found the following will take you to the page that talks about what areas/hospitals are carrying out these trials. (sorry, not clever enough to put a direct link for you).

Clinical Trials.gov An Investigational Immuno-therapy Study for Safety of Nivolumab in Combination With Ipilimumab to Treat Advanced Cancers

We are in Newcastle upon Tyne and the page still says 'not recruiting yet, so it must be very new to the North East.

Hope it helps someone else.

Mum still has many hurdles to get though from reading the document they gave us today - but its a start in the right direction. Mums feeling a bit brighter now we are home and she knows treatment WILL start (probably in a month).

Jules

hi Mr Baron, Jules here

I told mum what you posted - thank you.

we have just been reading again the possible side effects of these drugs - but not everyone experiences side effects, and thats how we are dealing with that.

Have been thinking about you also hoping you stay as fit and healthy as you can.

Having a look on the other site soon to see if you have posted any further videos.

Much love from me and my family to yours Mr Baron
