Going round in circles - Your input please
Do you think I need
NDT
? Am really keen to try the natural option as my T3 seems borderline but Naturopath didn't think it was necessary? I haven't felt 100% - am currently on 100mcg/daily Levo.

moving from twice daily to once daily dosing on NDT
I’m settling into
NDT
at the moment and am on 2 grains. As I transitioned from T4/T3 combo, I kept the dosing pattern the same and currently take
NDT
in the morning and the early afternoon. I would like to experiment with taking my
NDT
in one go to keep life simple.

London endocrinologists (private or not) who prescribe T3
I've been taking
NDT
for a few years but recently my symptoms are returning, and other forums seem to suggest that
NDT
like Armour and Thyroid S are losing their effectiveness. So I'm thinking of going privately to see if I can get T3 prescribed alongside levothyroxine.

Getting private prescriptions on NHS
Also partly because I want to be able to access either T3 or
NDT
easily should they be needed. Question is, if NHS GP is on board and accepts diagnosis, could I potentially get T4 via NHS with the recommendation/dosages prescribed by the private doc?

cholesterol levels for thyroid people
Originally I was / am , a sub clinical marginally hypothyroid person for last 20 years or so and I’ve over the years been medicated ( on either thyroxine originally , then
NDT
, Armour , liothyrinine on the NHS when they prescribed it till 2018 , then I got it privately from the US when it stopped )

DHEA supplements: high level, fast heartbeat and want to come off it asap any advice?
I've contacted thryoid gp who maintains the fast heartbeat has nothing to do with DHEA where I'm 100% certain it is as when I reduced my
NDT
/ERFA from 90mg to 75mg my resting heartbeat went down, now on 8mg DHEA it's gone up!

scared with my lab levels. I’m told I’m in danger, but I don’t feel horrible? Looking for advice. I’m confused and anxious
I was on 130mg of nature throid
NDT
during these labs. but today I lowered it to 65mg and I added 5mcg of t3 , in hopes my t4 will go down and my RT3 will go down.

TSH is 6.6, but T4 is 21 ...
Perhaps try
NDT
(never tried it before)? What is the best step forward in my situation to lower TSH and T4 and raise T3 please?

importance of magnesium and zinc
I have started 30 mg on zinc in evening with 440 mg of magnesium .is this sufficient amount to raise the levels and if I have those minerals very low does it mean that my
ndt
medication might not work and make me symptomatic ? And do I need to take mag and zinc together in evening ?

Levo and Lio dosage advice please🙏
Endo did say if no change, to try
NDT
, it's quite expensive and I don't know how much I would need🙆 Think that's it, sorry a bit long today, hope everyone is trying to tolerate the nice weather, when it's cold we are freezing and when it's hot we are boiling.

NDT, atrial fibrillation, and a self-proclaimed 'thyroid guru' in hospital pushing the T4 and TSH narrative
Fortunately I found an endocrinologist who treats people with
NDT
and or thyroxine, and have an appointment in April. Finally, I did work out that there may well be a component of too much
NDT
in the origins of my atrial fibrillation. (Or there may not.)

T3/NDT costs; for comparison/discussion
Hi all, Have recently contacted all the pharmacies on the Thyroid UK list to quote me for 1grain (60mg) Erfa
NDT
and 10mcg T3. Above are the prices - I've not included the pharmacy name but I can pass that on via PM if you're interested.

Should I taper off NDT?
I mean, if I really wasn't hypo, what would happen if I took
NDT
? I would love to see what my body is like without
NDT
. - Can I taper like 0,5 grain a week? - I read somewhere that the thyroid shrinks when you take
NDT
, so it cannot produce hormones anymore. Is this true?

Should I switch to NDT from levo?
Also, because we travel often and T4 is so easy for me to get hold of, not the case with
NDT
.
