Medichecks advice
Hello, I am planning to do a full thyroid and vitamin test with Medichecks. Firstly, is there a discount for Thyroid UK members please, and if so, how do I get it? Also, I think members of this forum might have some advice on when to do the test. Thank you for your support in advance.

Update after Endo
Good morning, I'm just writing this as an update to anyone who may be interested in my seemingly-odd case... My Endo appointment went well. (Or so I thought but if you're learning from this post, please read the comments!) She believes I have Graves disease, despite the antibodies indicating Hashimotos

antibodies
hi. Just received these private results. I know I have a goitre and am on carbimazole 5mg x3 a week. Been referred to an endocrinologist. Does it mean that I have to have my thyroid removed if carbimazole has stopped working. I feel exhausted and I have pressure behind my eyes. Thank you.

Thyroid test denied
Hi everyone, I'm very confused right now. For the first time in fifteen years, I had a GP asking all sorts of irrelevant questions when I asked my thyroid to be tested and the Free T3 included. In the end, according to them, the lab didn't test the FRee T3. Obviously, this is due to the GP's input

Graves - thyroid removed
Hi I had full thyroid removal in 2014 due to graves. I wondered if any of you could tell me as I no longer have a thyroid will I still have graves? I cannot regulate my temperature, dry skin, weight goes up and down all the time, aches in my body all the symptoms really. Levels are all within normal

Cancerous thyroid nodules. Are they painful sometimes?
Id be really grateful for thoughts on this please. I'm awaiting surgery on a nodule that's suspicious for follicular cancer but obviously as we know, they can't be certain until its taken out. What i want to know is, has anyone had a painful nodule that can be really sore consistently (8 months now

Thyroid and stomach issues
Hi everyone,I have been on Levothyroxine for 4 years, I just switched to Tirosent medication 6 months ago. I have struggled with Diverticulitis and HPlori. The Dr keeps putting me on Protonix (Proton Pump Inhibitor) until yesterday, I was told to go off it and take Amoxicillin and Metronidazole. This

Switching from Armour Thyroid to T4/T3
I’m changing from Armour Thyoid to T4/3 prescribed by local Endo partly for financial reasons but also as I’m concerned about supply issues and monitoring. Should I swop gradually or is it better to finish the AT then start the T4/3 the next day. I currently take AT 1 grain am and 3/4 pm and have been

Thyroid Ultrasound
Hi I posted last year regarding thyroid nodules and someone was asking about thyroid blood tests which I didn’t really have. Well…..things have progressed and I wondered if anyone in the community has any advice on my latest ultrasound results. I had it done privately as NHS was completely dismissive

Looking for a substitute for NP Thyroid/Armor Thyroid in Europe
Hello all, I am currently in Europe running out of options to refill my NP Thyroid medication. From what I have found online, Armor Thyroid is an equivalent, and after asking my US Doctor, he said it should be ok to take. I have tried via Roseway labs but, not being a UK citizen, the doctor isn't sure

You were all right!
Ok I posted a couple weeks back that I had mild active Thyroiditis and TED.....but somewhat blocked the idea of Graves. Saw my endocrinologist today ....firstly he was impressed (thanks to the dedication of my optician) how quickly I had been seen and treatment started ....but feels it looks like Graves
