GP's Wisdom
Had to have Dr out yesterday, severe lung infection (left side only he said) so started me on the standard antibiotics at 500mg and steroids 8 a day. Trouble with Sinemet dosing
Diagnosed with tremor intensive PD 2001. Started Sinemet end 2012, 3x100mg /d as I was getting weaker. I sailed along OK for about one year, then suddenly one to two hours after taking a dose I would go into almost a convulsion like state with intense tremor and weakness. I learned that I was not allergic

gout in foot
Hello, I was diagnosed PD about 8 years ago, currently on carbidopa/levadopa and comtan. Tried all the other medications to no avail for various reasons. Currently developed gout in my foot. Anyone else experienced this? Don't know if it's related to PD or meds or???

Comtan / entacapone cost
Comtan (generic:entacapone) really works for me in extending my on-times for carbidopa-levadopa to the point where I am almost symptom free some days. However, I have been paying $300-$400 for it per month because my insurance, and I've been told, most insurance didn't cover it. Well, IT DOES NOW and

It's my health, my body...why is it that my opinion does not count? I am angry, frustrated and feeling helpless!
I was diagnoised just over 10 years ago and fought taking any meds for some time, untl my ablility to function was greatly impaired, which in turn greatly affected my mental state. I am currently taking Ropinirole, (0.5MG, 1 tab-4x dly) Carb/Levo, (25-100MG, 1 tab-4x dly) Entacapone, a generic of Comtan

What causes the involuntary movements or dyskinesia, is it the pd or pd meds?
If it's the meds, which ones are most likely to cause these symptoms? I take 0.5mg of Ropinirole 4x dly., 100mg of Carb/Levo 4x dly., 100mg of Buprop 2x dly. (which I believe is the generic form of Wellbutrin) and 100mg of Comtan 2x dly.. However my Comtan was recently changed to a generic form by the

After over ten years only cardopa- leva dopa in extended release plus short acting doses are doing some good. Any good ideas for rigidity?
Comtan, amantadine, mirapex, azilect psych/ side effects now terrifying. Lower body rigiidity is challenging mobility without a wheelchair.

5 Neurologists labelled me as PD- i smell,I am mentally alert, no dyskenysis, face is expressive,my uptimes am strong-downtimes-weak/tired!
No problems with swallowing, my worse symptom is the dystonia i get after eating(this only started occurring when I was switched to Stalevo, i believe I am allergic to the Comtan, it gave me every awful side effect imaginable.I had to wean myself off the drug, because the neurologist i was seeing, just

Misplaced L-dopa/C-dopa pills...
Twas the day before Christmas and I'm far away, From where my neurologist and family doctor stay. I refilled my pills, a three-month supply. But now I can't find them, I think I might cry. Tried calling my neuro, but his clinic is closed until day after tomorrow, I heard as I froze.
