N. E. D. on Ibrance
I truly appreciate the information and sharing on this page. I had cancer 12 years ago,, had a double mastectomy, removed the sential node. In October of 2017 I found a pea-sized lump under my right arm. Biopsy showed breast cancer had returned. Scan showed breast cancer in my liver, metastatic. My oncologist

Radiotherapy & second primary malignancies.
New study below. My prostatectomy [RP] of 14.5 years ago was not successful & so I had salvage radiation. I was told that there would be an increased risk of a second cancer - but not within the first 5 years. At that time I was not thinking beyond 5 years, & extra risk after 5 years was not a consideration

medical marijuana and COPD
I read an article on line that said medical marijuana reduces inflammation and provides better sleep. I am not to sure whether it was CBD (does not cause a high) or HTC ( causes a high. Does anyone have evidence or have tried it for your COPD?

Meeting with Radiation Oncologist to discuss treatments after persistent cancer after Radical Prostatectomy (RP) with PSA of 0.8 - Gleason 7
I had my meeting with my Radiation Oncologist (RO) to discuss my treatment plan now since I had the recurrence cancer after surgery with PSA 0.8. He had me meet him in his examining room, instead of his office so he could sit next to me and my wife. I thought that was unusual because I even asked if

I am new
I'm new here, hello everyone. I was diagnosed in June this year with Grade 3 ER+, PR+ and HER2 positive 3+ ductal carcinoma. My treatment started in July with chemotherapy for 6-7 sessions, every three weeks then follows with surgery, mastectomy and then medication for 10+ years after. I am proud

gone forever?
I'll keep this first post simple. Had an MRI, discovered tumors. Biopsy showed majority of samples Gleasons 8 or 9 throughout prostate, including some small incursion into left seminal vesicle. First recommendation (I will have second opinion in 2 weeks) radical prostatectomy, including both nerve bundles

After surgery and now PSA 0.8 - what's next?
I am 61 years old, married for 2nd time for 21 years to a special woman who gave me 2 wonderful kids, now 17 & 19, and an adopted son from my first marriage who is now 33 and living with his girlfriend. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in April 2018. I had been seeing my PSA numbers slowing rising

I had my mastectomy in late December 2016, had to spend 3 months in a nursing home because of various problems and they looked after me wonderfully. Then this year I had 2 melanomas on my skin which had to be lazered of. Then my husband died end of July and now I have 3 hospital appointments to attend

My entire sctroum and shaft has bruising, the pain has increased as the days have gone by, especially on one side there is a sharp ache like that area is trapped under something tight. don't know anyone who has had a vasectomy so just wondering if this

Hi everyone from NZ. I got lymphedema in my left arm 12 years ago following a double mastectomy post Inflammatory Breast Cancer. I have had cellulitis several times and my GP used to give me anti-biotics if I was going away. However my new GP won't - says see a Dr when overseas. Not always possible!

Incontinence Frustration
I'd like feedback from the group on incontinence and how they are dealing with it. It seems like I'm going through pads way too quickly and just moving causes leaks. I'm doing my Kegel exercises but I'm wondering does it get better, does it just take time? I'm only one week out from my surgery (Friday

Gleason Score 10.
New study below [1]. A GS=10 is rare, but that's no consolation to the men who receive the diagnosis. However, a new study reports that: "Aggressive therapy with curative intent is warranted, as >50% of patients remain free of systemic disease 5 years after treatment." "The propensity score-adjusted
