CBD oil -- gets mixed reviews. I just connected the dots (for me.) Maybe this is why.
Over the past 2 years, I've bought 4 different kinds of CBD oil and only used each a few times as they did nothing for me. 3 weeks ago my daughter, who has a medical marijuana card, sent me 3 different forms of medical grade CBD oil and the difference is significant. One was a disposable vape, one

My first year with prostate cancer
Although I frequently read this forum, it's not really my thing to post here. But I remember when I was first diagnosed, I was grateful for all the stories and information everyone here provided. I thank you all for that. I also think that some others who are beginning their journey may find my story

BCS or Mastectomy
My wife is under going Chemo for her breast cancer and surgery is to follow after Chemo 4AC + 12 Taxol, Herceptin . Oncologist is asking us whether we want breast conservative surgery or Mastectomy. They need to fix some metallic marker in case of BCS. I invite suggestions or pros and cons of both!

Hospitals
So I have had a few issues health wise. I've had thyroid cancer and many a few minor health concerns. I have 2 kids with type 1 diabetes. I've seen the inside of hospitals more than I like. Thank God I live where I do or I am sure the bills would be horrendous! I grew up with a Mom who had a brain tumour

Temporary Stop to running...
Hi All, Unfortunately due to unexpected diagnosis of stomach cancer with 2 lymph nodes affected I’m having to stop running for a while. I’m absolutely gutted, terrified and shellshocked. I only began running on 1st April last year. In less than a year I’ve run 5K, 5miles, 10K and 10mile races and joined

DIET POST GALL BLADDER REMOVAL
Peeps had his gall bladder removed, very successfully, two weeks ago today. I am having a bit of a struggle to understand what he can/cannot eat. Does anyone out there have any thoughts on a diet he can follow, short term and long term please?

Need Advice to next level
Hello everyone, I need some advice. Diagnosed almost 2 years ago. Found my cancer had spread to lymph but not bone. I had radical prostatectomy, and was put on casodex. Psa climbed so did radiation. Still climbed up to 1.6 from .4. Put on lupron and had two 3- month injections so far and jumped to 4.6

Anastrozole and Turmeric with Pepper
I'm trying to establish if it's OK to take Turmeric/Pepper as I've been diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis and don't wish to take medication suggested by by rheumatologist - sulfasalazine. I had a mastectomy 3 years ago and currently taking Anastrozole.

Was there Selection Bias in the PIVOT trial?
"Findings question validity of large PCa trial" "Cheryl Guttman Krader "Feb 14, 2019 "San Francisco—According to the updated report from the Prostate Cancer Intervention versus Observation Trial (PIVOT), radical prostatectomy had no significant benefit over observation for reducing mortality among men

A bit of history - MY advanced, aggressive PCa story continues ...
A bit of history - MY advanced, aggressive PCa diagnosis seemed like a death sentence. Age 66 - in reasonable healthy state, overall, although I suffer from severe arthritis,, which I have been able to manage (finally) in the last 18 months, with the help of some off label assistance AND medical cannabis

More controversial medication. I still don;t care if you are anti.
I sent this in a private message to someone, but I think it should go here too. I have been a true medical cannabis user since 2014, but more like 2010 in reality. I smoked a lot of joints, which was just the norm here, even if I don;t like it. I got vaporisers (I have 5 different ones) over the last

Aliens , chemo and Cymbalta ?
This is day 7 after my first infusion last Tuesday for second recurrence in my peri Aortic lymph nodes. It's the heavy guns of Carbo / TaxoI which first zapped these aliens when I was diagnosed in 2011. NED until 2016 when it recurred in the same lymph nodes. Despite my protestations I was given Carbo

Portal vein thrombosis & gall bladder removal
Back and forth to London Bridge Hospital this week and after recent MRI, CT & MRCP scans, we finally have a verdict and plan of action. Peeps’ portal vein is completely blocked by the thrombosis despite Rivaroxaban, Warfarin and Clexane injections and this in turn has caused varices in his bile ducts
