Mirapexin Prolonged-Release
It was also discovered the Gabapentin was not good for my eyesight so my Neurologist suggested PR
Mirapexin
and helped me to taper down the Gabapentin by 300 mg every two weeks. Since last week I am now completely off the Gabapentin and just take my one little PR
Mirapexin
every night.

Is it possible to be increasing the length of time between dosages of Carb/Levo 25/100mg and still have same effect?
I went from taking it every 3 hrs to 4 hrs and stopped taking Mirapex at night and feel better. I am presently taking carb/Levo 1 and 1/2 tablet 4 times a day and Azilect 1mg once a day.

I have gained 50 lbs. on this medication but it seems like it is the only med that helps. Should I try gabapentin maybe. I can

MIRAPEXIN PROLONGED RELEASE
Has anyone heard of this? I had a telephone consultation with my Neurologist who prescribed it, because I am not happy with the Gabapentin I am taking. Combined use of 2x600 mg of Gabapentin, 2 co-dydramol and 0.5 mg of Clonazipam each night is still giving me insomnia and restless legs. I was so proud

RLS and Pain
Dear All, I did the math on a calculator and about fell off the chair. I have had RLS for 49 years. and I know the very night it started. Wow, that's amazingly awful. It took me several years to find Mirapex which does help. I hate Mirapex because of the side effects. I love Mirapex because it does help

Alternating Requip and Mirapex?
I, too, had problems with requip augmenting. Has anyone tried switching to Mirapex when Requip starts augmenting and then back again when Mirapex starts augmenting?

Might PD pharmaceuticals restore my athletic performance?
Hello. This week marks 1 year since my official PD diagnosis, although I had symptoms for a few years prior. I knew what was coming as my mother has battled PD for over 20 years. One thing that has bothered me is my slower speeds at both bicycling and walking. I have been a bicyclist for over 30 years

YES to CAFFEINE for RLS
Reading all these posts is driving me crazy. Mirapex, lyrica, Ropinirole, Gabapentin... so many drugs. I've tried them all over the years. Some worked. Some didn't, like Gabapentin, not real great for RLS. But after many many years of severe RLS, what did I find that works? CAFFEINE! Try 1/4 to 1/2

Try Caffeine for RLS
I've had RLS since I was young. Of course I never knew what it was, or if it even had a name until I was in my 30s. I am now 56. I have used mirapex and lyrica with success, but they made me gain weight. About 12 years ago, by accident, I found that CAFFEINE was the answer. Yes, believe it or not, caffeine

No longer on Mirapex and I'm drug free!
So, I was diagnosed with RLS during a sleep study over 10 years ago and I was put on.50 mg of Mirapex. It worked wonderful for a long time. I began to notice that my RLS was getting worse. In fact, I discovered that the Mirapex was the culprit! I went off it cold turkey with no ill effects! I don't suffer

Betrayal and the Horrible Pain After
This started out as a response to Manerva regarding the person who is taking gabapentin and this whole vitamin regimen and wearing compression socks (sleeves he calls them) and my thoughts on it but while it started out that way it’s grown so much deeper and morphed into gut wrenching pain and this

Does this sound like RLS to those experienced?
Hi, I've been having these sensations in my legs for about a year now and I'm wondering if you could advise if it sounds similar to your RLS. I have a buzzing vibrating sensations in my legs constantly when I am sitting or resting. It feels like buzzing it's the only word I can really use to describe

Any info on RLS and Chronic Kidney Disease?
Hello, fellow twitchers. My pertinent PMH: I spent 3 weeks in a coma after I fractured my skull in an MVA 35 years ago. My speech is sometimes slurred and I have impulse control issues. 20 years ago, I donated a kidney to my mom and shortly after that RLS started. A doctor prescribed Levodopa, then Ropinole

Gabapentin and recovering alcoholic
I am in recovery from alcoholism. I took Mirapex for about 7 years until I began to experience augmentation. I cannot take any narcotics because they work in the same area of the brain as does alcohol and can cause a relapse. I tried taking 900 mg of gabapenitn which did not help. My doctor increased

Living with RLS
I take Mirapex every day at 3 pm to try to reduce rls from starting up. Seems to do better that way rather than waiting until evening to take it. That being said, It is a rare day that I don't have rls at all. I also find some relief in lying on my stomach. Adding gabopentin helped some too but I

How do you deal with RLS?
Hello, I’ve been dealing with RLS for at least ten years. At times, it keeps me up for hours. Currently I’m taking 3mg of Ropinirol at bedtime, and have also tried Mirapex. Some nights it works and other nights nothing helps. I’ve tried bathing, massage, walking, cold packs, etc. If anyone had advice
