I went from taking it every 3 hrs to 4 hrs and stopped taking Mirapex at night and feel better. I am presently taking carb/Levo 1 and 1/2 tablet 4 times a day and Azilect 1mg once a day.

Is it possible to be increasing the length of time between dosages of Carb/Levo 25/100mg and still have same effect?
A dose of C/L effective for me 5 hours. Which makes sense because it is metabolized in the small intestine. I space my doses out every six hours. That seems to work best for me. I get a little off time in between doses but not much.
What is your dose? And do you take Azilect? I also noticed that tremor increases initially when I take Carb/Levo.
No I don’t use Azilect. I tried it couple years ago but it upset my stomach. I’ve tried different C/L doses. Originally I was prescribed 2 x 25/100’s, which worked fine. Right now I’m taking 1/2 tablet C/L + 1 650mg Mucuna 40%, every 6 hours. So far it’s working well.
What kind of Mucuna? And where did you buy it? Do you take it at night?

and yes I take it at night
I read that you shouldn’t take more than 1000mg per day. Is that correct?
I’ve heard that. I believe it’s more of a guideline than a rule. You have to do what works. Too much L-Dopa yields dyskinesia. I don’t have that symptom. If I ever do I’ll scale back on the L-Dopa. The Mucuna 40% capsules are 650mg. That is equivalent to 1.04g L-Dopa. Plus the 2 Sinemet tablets per day = 1.24g. That’s pretty close. BTW the half tabs of Sinemet are for the Carbidopa, to aid absorption. I use grapefruit juice for the same thing. Small amounts, 30ml. 15 - 30 minutes before the L-Dopa. It works. But be advised GJ is contraindicated for certain medications. Check that out before taking it. Good luck. Hope it helps.
I take BP med Amlodipine 10mg. I believe I can’t take it because of GJ. Now what? I had to go back to C/L 25-100 every 3.25 hrs due to tremors . I was getting happy because I was able to hold off at 4 hrs.
I went from one tablet every two hours to now one tablet every four hours
I think as long as your blood’s levodopa concentration is Above the therapeutic threshold (and below the peak threshold) you will have roughly the same effect...
My husband has managed to space out C/L 25/100 to 3 and a half doses from 7 30 in the morning to 7pm at night. Didn’t want to increase the dose of C/L as at 4 doses a day gave him dyskinesia which started after 4 years of taking it. Added in Rasigiline (MAO inhibitor) very slowly and then Amantadine to stop the dyskinesia. All seems ok at the moment and managing ok, doesn’t take anything at night. Still gets restless legs in the evening but copes with that as it doesn’t bother him too much and if he elevates his legs they stop. I think magnesium has helped. Sleeps well at night but does have vivid dreams sometimes.
My suggestion:
Too little an too much levodopa have the same effect. Don't work well and make you slower. Find the best minimum for you. Also add mucuna (or mucudopa) to decrease C/L ratio (up to 1 to 10 as in the first sinemet 100+10) and add vit. B6 to compensate Carbidopa damage in the long run (pay attention cause too much disable carbidopa effect).
