Finding out I have IBS
Well for the past 6 months I had been dealing with some pretty unsettling bathroom habits. One day after eating breakfast I suddenly felt my stomach swell up and begin to cramp really bad. I had a sudden urge and had to run to the bathroom. Explosive diarrhea. Well at first I didn't think anything of

How do I safely treat severe Chronic constipation? CKD stage 3.
I've recently learned by accident! that I'm CKD Stage 3. My current problem is Chronic severe constipation from oxycodone. I've been taking it for years for several bad discs in my back, and more back issues. I'm tapering off of oxy but slow process. I used to use Miralax, very effective but learned

Constipation Questions
Hey team. For the last 8 days now, I have not had a full on bowel movement. When it got really bad, I went to Immediate Care, where they did a KUB, and found that I was terribly backed up, with a 7.5cm x 7.5cm stool ball directly above my rectum. They had me do a full bowl prep. 20 mg of dulcolax, and

Questions about OIC
Hi everyone. I have had excellent luck for the past seven months with being on 150mg of Tramadol and 600mg of horizant. This combination seems to work very well for me. I have had absolutely no RLS for the past 7 months. Been able to sleep well every night. And sometimes even take a nap. My problem

Parkinson's RX not helping
Shaking of Left Hand, Wrist, Thumb, Fingers, not necessarily at the same time, is resistant to RX Treatment with
Mirapex
, Sinemet, Rytary, Gabapentin and others. Cramping is significant problem and shake can go from severe to violent.

Worst night in months
So I voluntary skipped my 0.0625 mg dose of
Mirapex
( having taken it for over 6 months now with the occasional 0.125 mg dose). And it was hell. Beyond hell to be clear. Could not stand the RLS which felt like waves of electric shocks.

Cycler alarm goes off 4 times a night during drain cycle
My 76 year old husband is new to at home peritoneal dialysis on the cycler every night. Every night, he is awakened by the alarm four times a night when the cycler reaches the drain portion of the treatment. He must shut the alarm, put his feet on the floor and move up and down before the drain cycle

It's Almost Graduation Day...saying goodbye to RLS
I did ween myself off
Mirapex
by taking smaller and smaller doses by chopping the tablet into smaller and smaller pieces.

Lyrica update
Maybe some folks will find this helpful. After stopping mirapexin due to augmentation (again) and going through hell, I started lyrica, which did nothing for 3 weeks and I was up to 300mgs. Thanks to great advice from you guys I decided to reduce it, so I reintroduced mirapexin at 0.45mgs + 150mgs lyrica
