Metoject Pen - first time use - UDATE
Update to my post last week, have now seen the nurse at my GP’s surgery for a demonstration. Very easy and straightforward so confident at being able to use myself. Thanks all for your advice.

Ultrasound Guided Steroid Injection & Tear in Tendon
& lefluminode until I tested negative and didn't have any symptoms or feel unwell, I ended up missing nearly 3 weeks of
metoject
& just over 2 weeks of lefluminode, it was then the pain in my side started coming back again along with the other joints.

decide what was worse, the pain or side effects from the medication & suggested I might try reducing some of it if the side effects were so bad, I also felt that I wasn't believed with the pain in my side, back & front of ribs, he said it was probably muscular. in March I caught covid & had to stop

Cost to NHS
A few months ago , because of a shortage of syringes I was supplied with
Metoject
pre-filled syringes, each one boxed individually.I can’t help but think think that these large Metaject must be considerably more expensive that the humble simple plastic syringe that I had supplied previously Also there

Experiences with stopping Benepali and Methotrexate?
I’ve been on Etanercept and
Metoject
20 weekly injections for 9months which has mostly-but not completely controlled my sero-negative RD.

Mtx. How long till it works?
I'm on 10mgs
metoject
. Have only had 3 doses and wondering when and if it will work. When do they consider it a failure I have a nurse telephone consult in March to discuss but I would like to know these things from you lot, the experts. After how long do they decide to increase the dose.

Methoject
I have recently started injecting
metoject
as an alternative to tablets as I struggled with the side effects. I am concerned about hair loss. I take folic acid every day except injection day. Has this happened to anyone, any advice would be really helpful. Thank you.

As I'm still feeling sick for 3 - 4 days after
metoject
I decided to try folic for 6 days leaving out
metoject

Blood Results - low neutrophils and low WBC
She was concerned because my neutrophils are now 1.5 and my WBC is 3.8 (or 3.6 - can't remember 🤔) She suggested that I call my clinical nurse to ask what I need to do regarding my Tocilizumab and
Metoject
injections.

Air travel with metoject
Am hoping to fly with RyanAir to visit my brother in Spain. Does anyone know if they insist on a doctor's letter, or is it ok if in sealed packet with pharmacy label. Extra cost of a letter more than the flight!

Methotrexate shortage?
I had already been contacted by the nurse in the Rheumatology Dept. who had told me there was a shortage of Methotrxate injections so would be supplied with
metoject
pens instead. No problem as I have those for Benepali.

Advice on MTX and Covid vaccine.
I was advised to continue as normal with
METOJECT
and have the vaccine. Pleased to say that I’ve not been experienced any problems and I’ve had 3 Covid vaccines. I hope that this helps.

Tocilizumab, Metoject/booster vaccine/possible positive
My
Metoject
injection is due Saturday. I'm not sure whether to do my injections this week. Also, if I was to become Covid positive, should I stop Tocilizumab and/or
Metoject
? I know we're not doctors, but I've asked GP and rheumatology team and haven't got any answers. I need to decide today.

Update on first NHS Rheumatology Appointment
I said about the side effects I assume from
metoject
(& possibly lefluminode) & asked about additional folic acid tablets, he said no probs he'd change my prescription 😀 he said its difficult to know if it's the meds or condition that causes them & wants to see how I get on between now & March on 15mg

Help. Metoject pen fail
Hi everyone, just administered my
metoject
, counted to 10 then removed and most of the liquid ran across my stomach, there's definitely a puncture hole in my stomach, there's a tiny bit left but can't reinject, but no idea what I should do.

Amgevita - Advice needed
I was using a
metoject
pen however this is not effective since I stopped due to covid. I've been told it works well together and I should see my symptoms subside within a few weeks- I can hardly walk and work full time. It's a struggle everyday and some days I don't want to be here.

Lloyds Pharmacy Clinical Homecare Tocilizumab delivery 👎
So, Tocilizumab - weekly injections,
Metoject
(22.5mg) - weekly injections and Sulfasalazine tablets - 800mg, plus other bits and pieces for me - I sure know how to rock'n'roll 😁I just hope that it's not too long before they kick in 🤞

How to treat lethargy on MTX?
Hi there folks, I've been diagnosed with RA about 9 months now, in that time I've gone from 20mg MTX tablets and 5mg folic acid ( which worked well for the condition but gave intermittent nausea ) to 20mg
Metoject
pen ( which has been reduced from 25mg due to toxicity but provides 85 -90% symptom relief

Update on chest pain (wow, sorry its so longwinded) 😅
I explained that the plan with the private consultant was to give it till December with the increase in lefluminode dose from 10 to 20mg but as I'd missed 2 doses of the
metoject
through being so ill & a dose failing I'm now in a flare but feel I need to give it another month or I'll have to try sulfazine
