It could be as a result of your body fighting Covid. I would get your bloods done in another month to see if levels have stabilised. (I AM NOT A MEDIC!)
I wouldn’t worry too much about this. My bloods are a bit wonky sometimes. I follow advice and they generally right themselves in time. You’re obviously under physical and mental pressure at the moment. I’m convinced that everyone gets out of sorts. Us lot have tests that highlight the issue. Other people wander around oblivious. Definitely call your clinical nurse/team. They’ve seen it all before and know how to handle it. Good luck.
You will probably be told to miss a dose of the tocilizumab. I’m on this and my neutrophils very rarely get above 1.4 and white cell count 3.8 and I only take it once a fortnight. After a run of low results a couple of years ago the rheumatology nurse spoke to the consultant who said he was happy for me to carry on with the toc as long as my neutrophils were above one. I usually have my bloods done at the hospital and they know that this is ok. I had them done at the GPs a few months ago and the low neutrophils did concern the doctor who rang me the next day to check if I was ok! Basically what I’m saying is check with your rheumatology department as in my experience they are the ones who are best placed to give you advice on this.
Since my diagnosis my white cells and neutrophils have never been as high as that except after a steroid injection. My rheumatologist likes my neutrophils to stay above 1 , she always asks if I have any infections. She feels that for whatever reason that seems to be my level. GP got concerned so she wrote to him and said she was monitoring the situation.
Update - I had a call from my clinical nurse this morning. I am to stop my mtx injection and have bloods tested in 2 weeks. My ALT is shocking and my cholesterol has also raised too high, apparently. Consequently, I had to call my GP and ask to be put on statins, along with booking my blood test.
