Help with blood test interpretation for my daughter
Hello Everyone, I'm new here and asking for my 18 year old daughter. I've come over from the Thyroid UK forum at their suggestion. She's been quite unwell for about 3-4 years slowly getting worse. We've been stuck with unhelpful medics both private and NHS who have not got anywhere with her symptoms

Still no joy from Doctor 🤦
Had B12 equivalent at my surgery 426 (110-914) which I think is low so I'm taking B12(
methylcobalamin
) 1300iu with MSM 130mg planning another private blood test just to see if an improvement.

My daughter's Iron panel results
Hello, Could I have help please with these results for my daughter? What does the overall pattern seem to suggest?
Iron
-good and no need to supplement?
TIBC and UIBC
are a bit alarming, but that may be because I don't understand the implications.

MTHFR gene mutation
I found out I have this gene mutation today. It commonly causes anxiety and depression and I've struggled terribly all my life with these diseases. It can also increase risk for stroke, dementia and other diseases. It affects 40% of the population so I think it would be wise for anyone with anxiety/depression

when will I start feeling better?
Have been injecting daily with
methylcobalamin
for 2 months as well as taking liquid iron. I’ve heard people say it takes “a while “ to start feeling better, just wondering how long we are talking. I need my daily dizziness to go away or know if it’s not being caused by anemia. Thanks!

B12 Breakthrough?
And here's what I'm VERY curious about: "
Methylcobalamin
that is ingested is not used directly as a cofactor, but is first converted by MMACHC into cob(II)alamin. Cob(II)alamin is then later converted into the other two forms, adenosylcobalamin and
methylcobalamin
for use as cofactors.

Doctor has taken me off monthly injections; symptoms have not gone away. Any help or advice appreciated.
I was taking oral
methylcobalamin
initially after loading injections, but then switched monthly intramuscular injections which helped a lot.I am now working in South Korea and the doctor tested me again as wanted to see my levels before giving any injections.

B12 & Folate Deficiency and tolerability of antibiotics (why I react badly to them)
And finally, 1000-2000 mcg of
methylcobalamin
is required for optimal reductions in homocysteine and methylmalonic acid. Anyway, that the hypothesis at the moment. How plausible does this sound???

Advice - supplement and diagnosis
I was going on holiday and desperate to feel even a little better and asked a pharmacist for a b12 supplement, she gave me better boost spray (
methylcobalamin
) & told me to double the dosage.......7 weeks on and I feel some of the symptoms lifting...not as exhausted, brain fog is clearing a little, heavy

Finally diagnosed, but next steps unclear
Can I just continue with the 2000ui D and add in a spray (I've got Better You
methylcobalamin
1200 daily oral spray), or should I also add my original folate supplements as well which I'd stopped using prior to the tests?

High Neutrophils
I took loading does of
methylcobalamin
then went to once a month. No doctor ever told me to take folate or adenosyl. I recently learned that folate is a vital co-factor. Started 5 mg folate daily, loading doses of cyanocobalamin daily for 2 weeks.

GP has finally agreed to giving me B12 injections but no loading doses ☹️
On a separate note would I be right in thinking that with the sub lingual
methylcobalamin
tablets I’ve been taking, only a tiny percentage of it (2%?) actually gets into my bloodstream? Also, I’m confused about the storage mechanism.

Reactions to Antibiotics and unable to treat UTI/Prostatitis
It was around the 27th of December that I started 5000 mcg of B12
methylcobalamin
, and then since then I have been RAPIDLY getting better. The painful burning is almost entirely gone already, and is only present when under the blankets in bed for example.

B-12 is Low (398), Folate is High, HCY is 55.6, uMMA is 1.7 , vitamin D and C and Magnesium are Low, all B vitamins are low.
Why is the GP not taking my labs seriously, I've been taking
methylcobalamin
tablets for a year and just began 5-MTHF because of Folate Deficiency found in my DNA, GP declined to do a MMA Blood serum test, I have been allergic to milk and beef since birth, peanuts followed with life threatening allergies

IBS is not a Disease; It is a condition.
I had symptoms of IBS for five years. I was finally diagnosed by the neurologist with low Vitamin B12. I was prescribed sublingual Methylcobalamine, 500 mcg. daily. It has been three months and I am 90% normal. I am still careful by avoiding milk, although I can eat ice cream and cheeses now

Blood tests and supplement advice please if you have a minute.
Hello everyone, I posted this a little while back but no comments so trying again, I know everyone is busy but I find help here invaluable. I am hoping I could get some advice on recent results. In late October I changed from 100-125mcg dose due to aches and sluggishness. Prior to this I had received
