Has anyone everyone gone through Oncoplastic surgery?
I was given 3 options: 1) lumpectomy 2) oncoplastic surgery 3)
mastectomy
. I would prefer not having implants for any type of reconstruction, and told that with oncoplastic surgery that would not be necessary. I'm now at the stage of surgery and just need to make a decision.

I Had A Vasectomy about 7 years ago, The Operation did not go well and I had chronic bleed inside my scrotum, My scrotum Swelled up the size of a grapefruit, turn all black and blue, it took 90 days to get back to normal. Sister with Breast cancer
It has already been decided she will have to have a
mastectomy
because she has had radiotherapy once on that breast already. Any reassurance or help would be most appreciated as we all thought she had beaten the cancer the first time around.

Breast cancer and kidney disease
In short, I refused chemo, feel that a
mastectomy
for stage one with clear margins and nodes ought to be enough. Any insights here? I am a wreck.Anyone with insight please respond. Thanks, neenors

Newbie seeks advice- chemo vs mastectomy first, and Uk vs Australia
Post lumpectomy I’m looking at a
mastectomy
and chemotherapy. I hold dual citizenship (Uk and Australia) - wrestling with 2 big questions really- what order to have procedures in, and where?

Hello all, I wish to re-design the

Questions..
But if there was no clear margins she would need the
mastectomy
. Or just get it over with now and have the
mastectomy
. My mom says she is not ready to have a whole
mastectomy
, so I respect her decision.

My mother had

in 2002. at age 71. 5 of 13 lymph nodes positive. Radiation, chemo, then 3 or 4 years arimidex. Today at almost 89 alive and (almost) kicking. Her sister had breast cancer when she was at over 80. Only meds, died at 92 from other reasons.

Reconstruction Expanders
In 10 days scheduled to have a
mastectomy
, lymph node, and expander put in. Is the expander very painful- have heard mixed things? I am very thin and small-breasted and putting a foreign object w/ a piece of metal under my chest muscle sounds horrible :( Thanks for any feedback

When can I start running again after laparoscopic cystectomy?
I'm 3 weeks into recovery after my laparoscopic cystectomy, as well as removal of endometriosis and a stent had to be inserted into my ureter as this was crushed by the giant ovarian cysts I had. I feel fine, other than some pain when I wee from my stent in my ureter. However, I am desperate to start

Condoms plus circumcision equals?

PET scan results
I had a
mastectomy
on my right breast with clear margins and no lymph node invasion. I had 6 rounds of chemo but no radiation. With each checkup there was no evidence of disease and then 9 years later I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer.

Looking at possible cystectomy. 67 year old male, apparently result of proton radiation a year ago. Specialist consult next Tuesday. Any specific questions I should be asking? Any input on your experiences with this? All thoughts welcome.

A Christmas to forget.
On the 14 December I got up as usual around 05.00Hrs, walked into my lounge tripped and fell on the hardwood floor. The result: a fractured femur. Somehow I managed to get to a phone to ring 111. After a major operation I was kept in hospital right up to the last day of Dec, simply because I lived alone
