Glad to be part of an understanding group
Began in 2004 with bilateral
mastectomy
and TAC chemo. Then in 2014 tumor markers high pet scan showed bone meets. Faslodex added to Arimidex and now Ibrance is replacing Arimidex. Sometimes I feel that instead of the side effects I'd rather live my life free of chemo. But pushing on.

Impact of Vasectomy on the Development and Progression of PCa: Preclinical Evidence
New study below [1]. A post on the possible influence of vasectomy on PCa development might seem like navel gazing at this point, but the subject continues to interest me. When the first "bad news" about vasectomy was published long ago, the reaction was unexpected. Rather than warn men about to be

Vasectomy & PCa risk: a meta-analysis of prospective studies
New study below [1]. "In conclusion, findings from this meta-analysis of prospective studies indicate that vasectomy may be positively associated with the risk of prostate cancer." "A total of 15 eligible cohort studies (16 datasets) with more than four million of participants were eventually included

New Member - De Novo MBC
I had a
mastectomy
and axillary node dissection (6/18 positive) followed by RT to axilla, breast and bone mets. As you can see I had the full works!!! My next PET was NED! I am on Arimidex, Kisqali, Xgeva and remain NED so far. My MO is checking PET scans every 3 months and TMs monthly.

Ibrance - to start or not?
She was diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer in 2012, had a
mastectomy
and was put on tamoxifen (no chemo). We found out it came back in September of 2018. She currently has 2 tumors in her bone - t2 and l4 regions (only bone, no organs). She has been taking letrozole.

Has anyone had their Breast Cancer metastasized to the breast skin (aka Skin Mets)?
I subsequently had a
mastectomy
followed by radiation with clean margins and with no evidence of disease. A couple years later, I had breast reconstruction and it was discovered that my breast cancer had metastasized to the
mastectomy
scar and to the skin in my breast only.

My symptoms began truly way back at 8 year old, my first period landed me in hospital. I suffered massive traumas, abuses at the hands of several pervert men, abuses from parents, bullied etc... how i made it this far is beyond me. Edit: These abuses were in childhood and are for context that i suffered

37yrs old- newly diagnosed with invasive lobular in the right breast. Debating double or single mastectomy. Advice?
My surgeon is recommending that I have a
mastectomy
on the right breast due to the placement of the tumors. She said I can do the
mastectomy
on the left at the same time as a risk reducing measure (prophylactic) and I don’t know how to decide.

PICC Line
I just would like one arm I can use normally, I had been very good doing exercises to ease the scarring and stiffness from my bilateral
mastectomy
, but I feel now with the PICC line and the wound I can't really stretch much without fear I'll tear, pull or dislodge/tangle a PICC line.

Never give up hope !
It's right on the Nipple area so I chosen to go with
Mastectomy
of my left breast and get reconstructed later. Good news due to a cancellation my surgery is next Thursday. About myself I used to be fit and train with heavy weights from 34 to 51 years of age.

Starting Afresh
I had a
mastectomy
and anxillary lymph clearance in Nov 2019. I completed 5 out of 6 FEC-T chemo cycles....my last was cancelled because of covid which I am finding hard to mentally deal with. In 2 days time I finish my 15 radiotherapy sessions.
