Latest Update - Post Surgery during Pandemic
I ended up opting for the double
mastectomy
, and had the surgery on St. Patrick's Day (March 17th). Considering the hospital was already in COVID-19 lockdown mode, I'm glad I went ahead with the surgery since now most surgeries are postponed.

unilateral or bilateral
mastectomy

Surgery and RA
That was until Jan when I had to come off for a
mastectomy
and reconstruction surgery. I’ve had a dreadful flare up after my op and this brought back lots of horrid memories of what a struggle I had in the early years and what many are still having to live with.

Arnica/Dalterparin interactions?
Hi all, I’m having bilateral
mastectomy
soon & the surgeon wants me to start oral arnica. I’m on daily dalterparin (& hydroxychloroquine). I know arnica interacts with warfarin but struggling to find out how or if theres any specific interaction with dalterparin.

ICSI - advice needed please
This is my first time posting on here and I would really appreciate advice from those with experience of icsi. My OH is older than me and had a vasectomy over 12 years ago. Given his age, and the reduced likelihood of a successful reversal we plan to go down the icsi route. I’m 29 with no know fertility

Confused
Was told I needed a bilateral
mastectomy
and then would need to decide on my ovaries. Was told I could go on tamoxifen. Went to the doctor the other day and was told I might need chemo now. I am co confused as chemo was never said at the beginning. Any advise will be nice!

Egg Freezing / Fertilty Advice?
Hi everyone. I've recently been diagnosed with endo via ultrasound/MRI. Considered to be stage 4, including large bilateral endometriomas. My treatment was delayed by Covid-19 so I am awaiting cystectomy etc. My AMH levels when tested were I believe just within 'acceptable' range, but I am aware surgery

8 years on!
I had grade 3 HER2 positive breast cancer in my left breast and had a
mastectomy
and chemo and herceptine and have been on tamoxifen for 8 years. I am suffering with pain in my bionic boob and very itchy red décolletage which nothing seems to soothe and scratching doesn’t get rid of the itch.

Has anyone everyone gone through Oncoplastic surgery?
I was given 3 options: 1) lumpectomy 2) oncoplastic surgery 3)
mastectomy
. I would prefer not having implants for any type of reconstruction, and told that with oncoplastic surgery that would not be necessary. I'm now at the stage of surgery and just need to make a decision.

Progesterone only pill
Hi, newbie here 👋 I was wondering if the pop has any benefits for helping pcos? My partner has had a vasectomy and we do not want children so I was wondering whether to come off it or if by doing that my pcos symptoms may worsen? Tia x

Dilemma about visiting elderly mother in hospital 😪
His finance got diagnosed 3 years ago when she was 27 with breast cancer, she has had a double
mastectomy
and undergone all the treatments but this year had secondary cancer resulting in two tumors in her brain. She had one surgically removed and the other one was treated with laser treatment.

Breast cancer and kidney disease
In short, I refused chemo, feel that a
mastectomy
for stage one with clear margins and nodes ought to be enough. Any insights here? I am a wreck.Anyone with insight please respond. Thanks, neenors

Sister with Breast cancer
It has already been decided she will have to have a
mastectomy
because she has had radiotherapy once on that breast already. Any reassurance or help would be most appreciated as we all thought she had beaten the cancer the first time around.

Newbie seeks advice- chemo vs mastectomy first, and Uk vs Australia
Post lumpectomy I’m looking at a
mastectomy
and chemotherapy. I hold dual citizenship (Uk and Australia) - wrestling with 2 big questions really- what order to have procedures in, and where?

Hello all, I wish to re-design the
mastectomy
