Meds and movement
My meds (a
Madopar
, an Azilect and a Ropinerole), didn't work at all. I was and remain amazed at the difference between one day and the next. What changed? The only thing I can think of is that for the hour between taking meds and breakfast, I lay in bed and read.

Apomorphine pump; does anyone have any experience?
He was prescribed
Madopar
, then Pramipexole and finally Sinemet but none gave any significant improvement and he was then referred to a neurologist who thinks he probable has MSA-P It was suggested he might benefit from an apomorphine pump (if we choice to go that way) but I can find very little information

Mucuna Dyskinesia Shocker!
It's happening both with the
Madopar
but also when I take the Mucuna. This wasn't what I signed up for! It's pretty mild but is an obvious concern and is widespread (arm jerks, then head goes, then leg etc).

Avoid levodopa phobia
I think this is yet more evidence that PwPs should start taking levodopa (and IMO one containing a known dopa decarboxylase inhibitor as in Sinemet or
Madopar
) as soon as they need it, and AVOID LEVODOPA-PHOBIA!!

Hi, I may be bored with the questions but I know I will get the answers here.
When do tablets (
Madopar
125mg) work better before meals or after meals? I'm new to medication if you can advise. Thanks in advance.

Madopar plus Mucuna
Should we be using
Madopar
equally spaced throughout the day? At the moment we use a half capsule of
Madopar
SR (100/25), at 8am, 2.30pm, and 10pm. And in between several small doses of Mucuna.

Temgesic - letter to the Consultant - raising the profile
The
Madopar
she uses, is for emergency use only, perhaps to get her over a journey and in itself, causes Augmentation.

Should I be taking this.
The neurologist prescribed
Madopar
100mg/25mg prolonged release hard capsules, from what I have read it seems to be for Parkinson’s not RLS. I am not going to take any until I have heard back from the very knowledgeable people on this site first.

Hubby is feeling like he can’t get comfortable
It seems like since he has tried the Kinson and now
madopar
medications he has got a lot worse. Is it due to these or is he just getting worse? It seems very sudden, as before lockdown he was doing very well.

Can someone tell me the maximum dose of levodopa/
madopar
per ingestion? And what is the maximum dose of levodopa from mucuna? Or doesn't that make a difference?

Help. Suddenly much worse
He has just changed to
madopar
instant release little blue capsules. He has been taking 4 per day 5 hours apart. While his mood seems to have improved a little he is now having much more difficult with movement. Especially getting into bed. He can’t get comfortable and is up and down.

How long before levodopa starts working when first introduced?
I note that the C/L equivalent Sinemet capsules/tablets seem to begin with twice the amount of levodopa content (100/25) than the

Advice on Rotigotine Patches
Currently on 5 x daily
madopar
100/25, and until recently rotigotine patches. Recently the patches have produced a massive skin reaction, pure solid blister and pus (sorry), so have stopped using them. Just wondered about other peoples experiences?

Madopar for RLS
They then put me into
Madopar
which was ineffective unless I combined it with Pramipexole 0.088.
