Pregabalin
Has anyone had any experience of pregabalin becoming less effective? I was taking the maximum dose of 450 mg but I started to have breakthrough symptoms. I went to the GP who appeared horrified that I was taking Pregabalin. She said I must reduce it until I was not taking anymore and at the same time

scared and worried
I will have to admit that I am very concerned about coming off the Ropinirole! After reading some of the experiences that some people have had it makes me wonder what will I go through. I know I’ve said this before but I’m just not sure I can do it. If I had some good support and help it would make it

My Labs are back- recommendations pretty please.
Quick summary- RLS for last 20yrs but self endured with no meds until Covid hit and exacerbated symptoms x100. Went to sleep MD and he just started with scripting meds….Gabapentin, Pregabalin, Busibar, Doxepin, Requip, Lunesta. None of these really worked…Requip kinda did but then it did not. So

RLS AND ANTIHISTAMINES
Could someone please advise an alternative to Fexofenadine as it has an effect on my Restless legs. Since stopping this drug my RLS has gone. I have spoken to my GP (UK) they said there is not and alternative to Fexofenadine that is 'non drowsy' on prescription. Thank you. Keith

Bruxism, botulinum toxin, Hashimoto, anxiety, tension
I have had Hashimoto's Thyroiditis since 2014. I'm 34 years old. In addition I also have diabetes, PCOS and PTSD. I suffer from bruxism, a lot of anxiety, I live in a houve with children with autism. I broke my teeth and a dentist reconstructed them. Now I use dental plaque to sleep. But I still

What is an ICM?
An Insertable Cardiac Monitor (ICM) is a small thin device that is inserted under the skin on your breastbone to record the activity of your heart. It can remain in place for up to 3 years. The device will capture and record 'episodes'. The recorded data will be collated and assessed and help to diagnose

PMR AND ANASTROZOLE
I had an operation for breast cancer (Mastectomy with reconstruction) in mid December. Thankfully I don’t need any more treatment other than anti oestrogen tablets. I have been told by my surgeon that Anastrozole can give the same side effects as PMR so has delayed the start of these tablets as I was

wheat in cosmetics
I’m recently diagnosed with coeliac disease. I’m following a gluten free diet but have noticed that a product I bought to promote hair growth contains wheat germ amongst many other ingredients. As this product needs to be massaged into the scalp should I not use it?

Hi there. Thank you for letting me join the group. 6 years ago I was diagnosed with stage 5 kidney disease and am on regular dialysis. I have since developed restless leg syndrome which has got steadily worse. Pramipexole was prescribed but honestly doesn't help much. As soon as I sit down to relax it

Hate to do this so soon after my last one, but this is just rich Remember to keep your common sense
I know, and of course if you don't want to read it, don't. On one level this is just too funny. Then you start, perhaps unwisely, reflecting. Items 1-4. 1. https://retractionwatch.com/2020/10/29/amulets-may-prevent-covid-19-says-a-paper-in-elsevier-journal-they-dont/ 2. https://retractionwatch.com

Opioids
Have been following posts, have studied Mayo Clinic, been back to rlshelp.org Have read Dr Earlys research , follow several Rls groups . I have done the DAs (unfortunately) The side effects of Gabapentin and Pregabalin far out way the benefits. Iron is good, I get infusions as needed. I use Magnesium

Transitioning to Gabapentin Enacarbil
I need some advice when it comes to starting Horizant while moving away from Pramipexole. I've been on Pram for about 12 years and although it still works generally, it's getting less an less effective. So it's time to move on. Gabapentin Enacarbil (Horizant) is what I'm moving to. My question

Low platelets
Hello and thanks to contributors for the all the past useful information and support. Very much appreciated. My GP has now asked me to give Pramipexole a try as both Gabapentin and Pregabalin seem to have caused an unacceptable reduction in platelets. The negative correlation is fairly conclusive.

Methadone
Hello, 3 days ago I started methadone. Started with 2.5 mg on the first night. It didn’t help my rls completely, so the next night I took a whole pill, 5 mg. From an rls perspective, working great. I am not getting breakthrough rls, which is awesome! But I am not sleeping well. I have many short

Does anyone have any direct experience of Targinact?
Hi Everyone, this is my first post but I've been reading everything on this forum for a while now. I'm in real trouble with augmentation after taking ropinirole for 11 years. I successfully tapered off and was completely free of it by April 2023, however the RLS remained severe, and in October I decided

Ropinerol withdrawal.... what now?
So after 15 years I'm off Requip. I'm now 4 days in with zero meds for RLS. A few contradictions of how long it takes to fully leave your system, however, I was hoping that my RLS would magically disappear along with my meds. Unfortunately, thats not been the case. Cannabis didn't help, it just left

Oxycodone - the way forward or a dead end?
I have only posted here briefly once but I have been following this great forum for some time. My story is very familiar. Have had RLS for 14 years, was prescribed all the available RLS medication: Ropinirole, Pramipexole (both miraculous at the beginning) Neupro patch ( never tolerated it), Gabapentin
