Lupron

Then began lupron in March and PSA went to 117 and last week is now 18. Oncologist concerned and suggested the triple threat because I’m is good health without any underlying health issues. So it’ll be lupron, Zytiga (+ prednisone) and chemo for me starting week of May 30.

He has met with the radiologist who has put him on the one month hormone therapy and then he will have the Lupron shot and then 8 weeks of radiation. We are very scared right now and he seems to be in a lot of pain I guess my question is will the pain ease for him at some point?

Another Lupron shot next month. We are headed in the right direction for now. Prayers to all of you Warriors🙏🏻

Are there any pros or cons to probiotics while on Lupron, Abiraterone, and prednisone? Jim has never in his life gotten staph infections, and he is now fighting his second one on his skin within 4 months. Thinking he doesn't have enough friendly bacteria in his system. Thank you

Treatment is Lupron and radiation therapy[i] anytime in the next 6 months[/i]. Apparently there’s no rush to treat advanced PCa. [Another member posted that her husband’s oncologists refused to radiate his hilar lymph node due to possible damage to lungs, heart - ours aren’t concerned - I asked.]

Had 78gy of radiation therapy early in 2014 and 3 years on Lupron (finished Feb/2017). No treatment since then. Nadir was <0.3 in 2016 (whilst still on Lupron) and 0.3 eight month after Lupron finished.

If you go on ADT (lupron 6 mo) and your prostate does not shrink, is that a sign that the ADT is not working?

-Unfavorable intermediate -6 month Lupron, 3 months ago (March 2022) -Testosterone currently at 11.

I am stage 4 (diagnosed 09/2016) gleason 9, tx has been docetaxel, lupron, xgeva, and zytiga. Please let me know what you guys think. Best, Philip

After 8.5 months on Lupron and 6 Months on Zytiga. PSA reached undetectable levels. Been off Zytiga for 14 days and liver enzymes have fallen back into normal range. Conversation with MO tomorrow , will see how and when he wants to restart it. Life is good Next step- radiation therapy.

Following surgery radiation + Lupron. When PSA started climbing again, he was in Dr. Aggarwal's Androgen Annihilation trial for 1 year (Degarelix + Abiraterone + Apalutamide + Prednison). He stayed non-detectable for 1 year post trial and now, but PSA has been on the rise.

My MO said yesterday that an increase in PSA from several years of undetectable to 0.13 in 3 steps over 4 months is still so low that it does not warrant restarting ADT or any other treatment. So, I'll be getting blood draws every 2 months and the PSA will be monitored. I'm not quite sure why I thought

I have been on the 3 month Lupron. Aside from my butt hurting for two days I have tolerated it well. Doc offered 6 month but I’m staying with the three months because I have had no issues.

I was thinking in lieu of chemo, I could include a 5aReductase inhibitor RAD-140 I also asked for low dose estrogen 0.1mg patch after 30 days on lupron to reduce the hot flashes, bone, and muscle health. He doesn’t recommend 5aReductase, or E2 patch.

After RALP, Lupron, RT & off Lupron 1.5y my PC has gone metastatic. Going back on Lupron & Apalutamde. Copay of $3K per month.

After a year of ADT...Lupron, abiraterone and prednisone... I stalled at PSA 1.5. Then it increased over 3 months to 2.9. Medical oncologists took me off abiraterone and prednisone and replaced with Nubeqa. 30 days dropped to 1.6. No apparent side effects. Will test again in a few days.

Since then did VERY well with Lupron/Casodex (combined) so that after 9-12 months on I would get 1-2 year HT vacations. Twice I did scans followed by SBRT (also included 3-month HT shot) which did great...but of course the eventual PSA wake-up call.

I have been off of ADT (Lupron/Zytiga) for about a year and a half - my PSA remains at about 0.2 since my testosterone came back about a year ago (currently at 250 ng/dl). a couple of months ago, both breasts started to hurt. They did swell under ADT but have remained constant since I went off.

Anyway, I still have a consultation with my onco booked and, with my PSA doubling on Bicalutamide and Lupron (equivalent) I'm not content in just letting things slide until I can get the scan. When we talked previously, he said that approval had been granted for both Apalutamide and Daralutamide.

Friends asked me why I see the URO, he’s 12 miles away and just gives me lupron shots and can give me one of the drugs. MO 100 miles away, that’s my answer. So, what should I do, take the drug or try to find the little SOB’S and treat them? ET
