Does ADT always shrink prostate?

If you go on ADT (lupron 6 mo) and your prostate does not shrink, is that a sign that the ADT is not working?

It only shrinks your prostate if you have BPH.

I have BPH. I've seen no difference after 2 years on ADT. Still get up several times a night. I wish there was something that did shrink prostate.

Sometimes BPH is caused by internal enlargement in the transition zone. Only TURP will help.

Ever hear about Finasteride helping internal BPH? I have a friend that swears it took care of his internal enlargement completely.

Lupron by itself works with BPH? I must have had it, then, because my prostate shrank from 53 cc to 18 cc from November 2018 to August 2020.

When initially diagnosed, my urologist said the ADT (he wanted to start with Firmagon, then shift quickly to Lupron) would shrink the tumors and thus the prostate. At least that's how I recall it. So when the prostate did shrink considerably, I wasn't surprised. If I had BPH, it was never revealed to me.
