Home Oxygen is a game changer
Afternoon all! Mindful that it has been a fair while since my last post - much longer than intended. However, in many ways it's a good thing as it means I've got more to update you all on. First and foremost, I'm still on the lung transplant list and have yet to get another call since being re-added

NED means I should feel happy, right?
I had an upper left
lung
lobectomy
and a wedge resection of the lower lobe to remove the primary tumor, as well as 14 lymph nodes (2 were positive) Dec 2021. I know surgery is not the usual treatment plan with Stage IV, but for me it seemed like a good idea.

CBD; worth a try for pain relief..?
Hello all, hope you're all reasonably well! As have posted here before, Dad is weak with Stage 4 Lung cancer an the immunotherapy that he's having. There's some pain and he keeps this at bay with paracetamol3x/day. I understand that CBD oil could be a good thing to try for pan relief. wondering

Severe reaction to immunotherapy
Hi My husband has mesothelioma and has been having immunotherapy (Ipilimumab and Nivolumab) every 3 weeks since early January this year. All was going well until last week when he had a severe reaction - diabetic ketoacidosis - and has been in hospital for a week while they try to stabilise his blood

Genetics - Children of Lung Cancer Patients
Hi all - I am a young mom who just underwent a lung wedge resection. I will be monitored for life, most likely - but I am wondering about my child. I have two EGFR mutations and am concerned about what this means for my son. Does anyone know much about testing younger patients -he is much too young now

Is there always a rash with vasculitis?
Hood morning everyone and thank you so much for your support so far. I’m still investigating how to try and get my my tested for vasculitis. She has a diagnosis of bronchocentric glanulomatosis currently but I would like her tested for vasculitis as she is currently just being treated with steroids

Hoarse voice after thyroid surgery
Hello - I am 28 years old and I had a diagnostic thyroid lobectomy (right side) 5 weeks ago, histology results found it was follicular thyroid carcinoma but thankfully MDT concluded it was non -invasive so no further treatment has been recommended at this time. My voice was very hoarse after the surgery

Anxiety between CT scans
Hi, I have an 8mm lung nodule found incidentally about 9 mins ago. I've had a 3 month scan and coming up on the 6 mos one to see if it's changed. I'm worried all of the time that they will find it's grown tremendously and then all that comes with that. My spouse is no longer supportive of me because

squamous cell lung cancer
I see many posts about adenocarcinoma but none on NSCLC Squamous cell. Can anyone share their experience with squamous cell lung cancer. Also if anyone has had PNI (peri neural invasion). After surgery I also have a lot of high grade dysplasia in bronchial margins. I had right upper lobe removed February

Immunotherapy
Having had a
lobectomy
a few years ago on right
lung
, I now have 2 opacities on lower left lung. As there had only been one lesion seen on lower left lung I was offered radiotherapy. After last scan which showed another lesion adjacent to the first, I am told that 'radiotherapy is off the table'.

How much can one body take?
As if 2 strokes in 15 months plus a double lung transplant isn’t enough I have now been told I suffered a mild ( thank the Lord mild) heart attack recently which I wasn’t aware of. “Possible inferior infarct- age undetermined “ is their medical term for a myocardial arrest. Suppose on a positive note
