Success
I was lucky, had the first of the
Lucentis
injections within a week, responded well, and the damage was limited. I've just had cataract surgery on both eyes and my vision (with glasses) is back to 20/20. So though there is still the scarring from the macular my sight is brilliant.

I experience tremendous eye pain for about 12 hours after lucentis injections (not an infection). Does anyone else have this and a solution
I am 59 and recently diagnosed with Wet MD in one eye. I've now had four injections and my eyesight is improving, but the pain after the injection is not what I look forward to.

Had first Lucentis injection nearly 5 weeks ago & waiting for appointment again. No Eye clinics this week due to Audit so will be next week.
Wondering if visual symptoms clearing a bit after the injection then returning a week or so before next injection is due is 'normal'? Had 'halo' light around dark spot & wriggling very small dark dots before the injection, halo & small dots disappeared & dark spot went lighter. Now they have returned

My story part 2 !
So my hope of getting
LUCENTIS
was gone. The dr then said would I like an injection of AVASTIN as I certainly needed one.

Why have my Lucentis injections become so painful?
The first six
Lucentis
injections were pain free, if ineffective. The legion in my right eye is described by my consultant as being 'very aggressive' and continues to leak. I had a course of PDT, also to no avail, and then back to the
Lucentis
.

Timelines for injections
I have read literature about the
Lucentis
injections and read that the injections should be every four weeks, however, at my clinic because it is so busythe timelines for injections can range anything from 5 weeks to 8 weeks apart which to me is unsatisfactory.

Is it worth removing the floaters in an MD affected eye
In my left one I had wet MD and I had been treated with avastin and
lucentis
. With regards to my right eye which I only have peripheral vision, do you think that remving the floaters from it is worth the risk? Lately I the amount of floaters increased in both eyes and thickened as well.
