Amlodipine as an addition to losartan
I was also on losartan at 50mg and my consultant added the amlodipine for an evening dose. How did I feel ? Pretty awful ! Advised to stick with it and in fairness after about 6- 8 weeks the side affects had reduced and gone completly by weeks.. Not a pleasant experience. Bottom line is my bp is around

Felodipine
Ok- been on a variety of anti hypertensives for about 10 years- Ramipril made me cough continually so a couple of others were tried and eventually settled on Losartan 50mg. Until about 3 months ago when it seemed to stop working. Dose increased with no effect so GP added in amlodipine 5mg- cue awful

tummy issues
I’m on Losartan and Felodipine for high blood pressure since 2021. But I am having nausea and upper tummy pain. GP prescribed Omeprazole which I’ve been taking since November. Nausea better but tummy pain still bad at times. I think it’s the medication but the pharmacist at GP surgery says not. Does

Feeling overwhelmed by chronic paroxysmal AF
My husband had a MINOCA in April ‘22 (only diagnosed after MRI in December and had been thought to be myocarditis). Since May ‘22 he’s suffered dreadfully from AF - episodes last typically 2-3 days and are triggered by just about anything other than sitting in a stimulus free environment! He feels breathless

Living with presumed myocarditis which turned out to be MI
Sorry for this long post. I couldn't think how to make it shorter. I've found it hugely helpful to read the posts on this forum so I thought I'd reach out to seek some support and wisdom. My husband was fit and active (we enjoyed leisure cycling 15-20 miles, walking, gardening etc) until Oct '21. A

Losartan stopped working?
Hi I've been on 25mg Losartan for past 12 months. My BP appeared to be controlled at around 136/90 Since December my BP readings have increased and are regularly over 150/95 and this week around 160/100. I'm going to see my GP next week to discuss my readings. Has anyone else experienced similar?

High BP, meds don't work
I am 67, female, moderately overweight, 5,8, 165# . Moderate hypertension for many years, well controlled with Losartan. Losartan stopped working, placed on Valsartan, which is basically Losartan with a water pill. Several months ago developed high BP, averaging 180/105 upon awakening, dropping

From Losartan to Entresto
Following up on my MRI scan a month and a half ago I attended the Heart Failure nurse this morning. It was a good and helpful session. The MRI indicated a reduced heart function since my HA in February 2020. Since the scan I’d descended into the “worried well” hole, but mostly because I had the dreaded

Chest Pains following ablation
Just after some advice - again from all my virtual friends. I’m 3 weeks tomorrow following 3rd ablation. Don’t know if you recall my complications of asthma, swollen throat and then food & meds getting stuck and fluids going into lungs making me choke! Well that’s all ok now but, blood pressure rose

The surgeon said to continue the blood thinners for a year. I was originally treated at Luton and Dunstable hospital (L&D), and the

Rising blood pressure
So - long version: I'm 8 months in on Abiraterone+Prednisone, 1000mg and 5mg daily. I also consume 50 mg daily of Losartan (25 mg twice a day) to help control my blood pressure. Losartan is an ARB. I finished radiation just before Thanksgiving. And perhaps coincidentally, my blood pressure has risen

Afib breathlessness
Firstly, sorry, I don`t know how to add to an old post so started this. To try and keep it short I had a cardioversion for Afib which worked for a few weeks. I was later put on bisoprolol which I really struggled to walk any distance and upstairs (Asthmatic). Many kind people on here gave me good
