Update after mums surgery
So my mum underwent a
lobectomy
and wedge resection 2 weeks ago. She has since suffered a pneumothorax on the right side due to a chest drain not functioning properly and also has an infection but is recovering.

Finally introducing myself
I had a right temporal
lobectomy
. There were 3 blood vessels attached to the tumor and unfortunately the one the surgeon had to keep attached in my brain, was the only one of them that had cancer cells on it.

Gabapentin
Just wondered if everyone after a
lobectomy
takes gabapentin and how long they have stayed on them for. Was reading something that made it sound like you could be left with permanent nerve dam age and would need to just stay on them!

I'm Back
I had a
lobectomy
. I had thirteen years of cancer free living until 2014, when an x-ray revealed a spot on the remaining lobe I had left on the right side. I was treated with cyber-knife radiology. It worked. But I am wondering if one of those cells escaped at that time.

What are your thoughts?
In Feb 2016 I was diagnosed with stage 3b nsclc with right lower and middle
lobectomy
, chemo and radiation. I saw my oncologist in December with no evidence of disease. I am scheduled to see her in June. For the last couple of months I have had onset of low back pain with no injury.

Anyways to cut a long story short, I remain clear following gamma knife radio surgery,

and chemotherapy. My next scans are in June. I wish everyone the best and my thoughts are with us all. If I can help in anyway please just ask.

Cisplatin versus Carboplatin
Having had a lower right
lobectomy
in late December 2016, I am now 6 days into the first of four 3-week cycles of Vinorelbine and Cisplatin (VP) chemotherapy. I have suffered mild Tinnitus for the past 25 years without any real problems and discussed this with my Onc doctor.

Starting chemotherapy
They said it looked to be isolated and a
lobectomy
should be all I need. Four weeks later when I went to the surgeon for a follow up after my
lobectomy
they told be they took 10 limp nodes while takiking 1/3 of my lung and out of 10 they found three with cancer.
