Excessive weight gain after lower lobectomy
Hi everyone, Since I'd a lower left
lobectomy
last Nov 2022 I've noticed a gradual increase in my weight. I was 9st 12 Ibs & now I'm 10st 12 Ibs. This notable increase's happened within 6 months. I just can't shift the excess weight.

I finally had my procedure last Wednesday due to uncertain recent pet /ct changes ( had r lower lobe
lobectomy
and r upper wedge 5 1/2 years ago) at the scar site of upper. Bronch was completed with insignificant findings but Tumor board recommended to go in for surgery.

Do I still say I have cancer?
I'm trying to get travel insurance and would like to be able to say, truthfully, "I don't have cancer" Sorry to be a bit long winded (long winded after
lobectomy
???) haha

Chemotherapy after Lobectomy
My auntie was diagnosed with lung cancer last year, and she had a
Lobectomy
around 3 months ago. The surgery went well, and she is recovering well, too. She had an appointment today and was told that they found cancer in 2 lymph nodes that were removed during surgery.

I have now been told that I have PTSD! Why?
I had biopsies etc. and a
Lobectomy
for Adenocarcinoma tumour in my right lung and have been left a wreck on Oramorph every day and Fentanyl patches and now have RLS which is a nightmare! I saw a Physio last week who told me that I had PTSD because I got upset about the misdiagnosis.

Spiculated nodule found on right lung on post chemotherapy scan after lobectomy on left lung in December 2022.
Hello everyone, Has anyone undergone a
lobectomy
and four cycles of chemo to find that there is another suspicious nodule on the opposite lung. If so,what were the options?

Another nodule immediately after chemotherapy.
Hello everyone, I had an upper left
lobectomy
in November 2022. In January 2023 I had a CT scan pre chemo which showed a nodule on the right lung of 6mm. The oncologist put me on antibiotics for two weeks and the next came back clear so I started 4 cycles of Cistoplatin and Permetrexed.

Bleeding
For those people who worry about stopping their anticoagulant for medical procedures in case they have a stroke maybe my experience might reassure them. All drugs have a half life so the amount of time you have to stop before a procedure is calculated taking this into account. For the "bans" it is

No support for Dipipanone and Cyclizine withdrawal.
I have Diverticulitis, adhesions, have had lung cancer and a
Lobectomy
, a 10cm sliding hiatus hernia ++. Pain just now is unbearable and I'm into my 5th week of Dipipanone withdrawal and my leg's still feel tight but the RLS has calmed down a bit since stopping the 60 mg Duloxetine.

Post lobectomy hoarse voice
hi my husband is two weeks post surgery (upper right
lobectomy
) and has intermittent hoarse voice. I am presuming this is nothing to be concerned about but does anyone have any suggestions to ease or improve the hoarseness? Thanks

Treatment options
I saw my Surgeon two days ago and was given to options. (1)
Lobectomy
(2) Radiotherapy. I do have some thoughts of my own, but I would appreciate any advice before I make my decision.
