my husband is two weeks post surgery (upper right lobectomy) and has intermittent hoarse voice. I am presuming this is nothing to be concerned about but does anyone have any suggestions to ease or improve the hoarseness? Thanks

Dear Hopeful51,
I am pleased to hear that your husband has now had his surgery. A hoarse voice is not uncommon after any surgery and by 2 weeks this should be should now be starting to show signs of improvement. Avoid drinking alcohol, caffeine, overly hot or spicy foods. Rest your voice, no shouting or singing loudly and avoid smoking and areas of high pollution. If his symptoms do not start improving it would be a good idea to contact your Gp or medical team for review.
