Liothyronine

Has anyone used LA Pharma T3 CYTOMEL (Liothyronine)? If so what was your experience using it? Did you find it any good? I’ve read mixed reviews and would like to hear from people on here please.

However, the BTA have subsequently advocated the use of liothyronine.

My GP (NHS) is refusing to give me a prescription but is willing to monitor me if I decide to get a private prescription for Liothyronine from Germany or Greece. My question is – based on my labs and symptoms, am I crazy to want to try supplementing T3 with my Levo?

Hi I have recently been prescribed T3 - Liothyronine 15mg. I understand the most economical way to purchase is from Germany but I am finding it difficult locating a pharmacy , can anyone help? Thanks

I was taking 65mg thyroid and 30 mcg Liothyronine for the past year. For some reason last month my doc changed it to 45 mg of thyroid and still 30 mcg of Liothyronine. I am feeling the change and it’s not good.

I am taking a 40mcg Liothyronine capsule right now. Along with 50mcg Synthroid. When I did my last test I was taking 25mcg Cytomel so I split it into 12.5 x2 that day and took 12.5mcg 12 hours before the test. Firstly, was the T3 result accurate?

Hi could you please advise my TSH has been constant at 0.01-0.2 for last two years on 100 levothyroxine and 20 Liothyronine. This was up till May 2018. My latest results received yesterday show TSH 1.6. Which meds would need increased to bring me back in line with previous results.

I am sad and a little worried that I will need to go back to Levo and Liothyronine. But being hypo is still so different and I feel like my emotions are up and down all the time. She says it has nothing to do with thyroid but I disagree. We are upping to 90 on armor so hopefully this helps some.

As I am now the proud owner of a prescription for Liothyronine I need to ask which manufacturer should I avoid? I can only take mercury pharma or wockhardt levo so I’m not sure if I need to stick to those makes.

Taking 50/25 mcg Levothyroxine ( alternate days) plus 25 mcg Liothyronine daily. TSH 0.03 ( 0.3-4.2) FT4. 8.3 (12-22) FT3 4.5 ( 3.1-6.8) Should I take more Levothyroxine and if so how much? Will that raise my FT3 or should I increase Liothyronine also ?

Hi I was wondering if there are any brand differences in terms of quality of Liothyronine and if anybody has used the SigmaPharma brand? Or is it just trial (and error 😂) as to what suits some more than others? Many thanks 🙏

Hi, just had bloods done for tsh- currently on 75 Levo and 20 liothyronine. Tsh < 0.001 (very abnormal. T3 is 5.2 in normal range and just had results for Se thyroid perioxidase ab conc -186/mul. I my tsh has always been below 0.01 and it works for me but not sure what the TP is?

while hunting through my old med stash ive come across a few bottles of liothyronine dates are march and august of last year (2017) do i take a chance and use it or is it way past its usable date will only be adding 5mcg
