Any tips on getting through an increase in levothyroxine and feeling a bit rubbish
Hi everyone, after a too quick reduction in levothyroxine and an return of symptoms I’ve had an increase. I’m 3 weeks in to an increase to 100mcg daily and then in 4 weeks I’m to very slowly increase liothyronine from 10mcg to 20mcg (I’ll do this v gradually). I’m feeling really rubbish, exhausted

Happy holidays, need help, exhausted after med change
Hi friends, I last posted after raising my meds a bit 5 months ago. Was doing ok on that but still needed a little T3 so tried adding liothyronine (again) and it felt good for a while but then started up with side effects after a bit. I was doing a tiny amount...started with 2.5 mcg daily and then tried

change in dose of meds
Hello there! The Endocrinologist has advised me to reduce my meds from 175mg Levo and 20mg Liothyronine to 150mg Levo and 10mg liothyronine. The 10mg is split into two doses of 5mg, one in moring with Levo 150mg and 5mg on its own at night. is there anyone in here who has similar plan and if so

Success Yesterday! I’ve been prescribed T3! But should I reduce my Levothyroxine?
Hello everyone, currently feeling relieved and hopeful, I had my consultation with the Roseway Labs pharmacist and she agreed my FT3 level was too low (4.2 - range 3.1 - 6.8). She has prescribed Sigma Pharma 2.5mcg daily for the first 2 weeks and then 5mcg per day. Looking forward now to them

T3/T4 HRT Meds before surgery?
Hello lovely people, i hope everyone is managing to catch up on the long overdue sun ;) Sadly, my gynaecologist has found an ovarian tumour which needs to be removed and biopsied. Recovery from this will take between 6-8 weeks. I am in really good health otherwise but do take 150mg Levo and 45mg Liothyronine

My Endo Consultation Disaster…. No T3 for me.
Hello everyone, feeling like I want to scream into a pillow this morning! I had my private consultation yesterday and not only wouldn’t he prescribe me any T3, he is also going to write to my GP to reduce my Levo prescription!! So it was all a bit of a disaster really. I showed him my Blue Horizon

liothyronine
are currently overprescribed including in patients with transient elevation in TSH and those with persistent subclinical hypothyroidism, the joint statement says.

Optimizing the treatment of hypothyroidism
I haven't even read this yet. But the fact that UK and USA are speaking and writing together represents a major step forward. [i]

How to change from T3 only to T4?
I'm currently self medicating on 50mcg Tiromel and have been for a few years. My doctor prescribed me 75 mcg Eutirox 5 x week and 88 on the weekends. It just wasn't working for me, so after a lot of reading I assumed I was just someone with a faulty conversion gene and decided to try alternatives.
