Researchers Discover Why L-Dopa Stops Working
Ever wonder why your L-Dopa meds eventually become ineffective at controlling the progression of symptoms? Recent research may shed some light and offer solutions (eventually...). How i beat Parkinson's
Then i found a new DR. who put me on carbidopa
levodopa
and things started to go right. That was 21 months ago. i started Crossfit 18 months ago. The combo of exercise and meds has help me control my PD almost completely.

I have posted on here before about the episodes of overheating I get as my medication wears off ; my hair, face and back are drenched in sweat and my clothes become wringing wet. My consultant and PD nurse dismissed the idea that these episodes were caused by PD or the medication –despite the very obvious

WTF do Doctors think about PWP . Please read what some one posted. It should make you mad as hell just like me. Sorry if I offend any one.
Tremor is treatable with carbidopa
levodopa
. Why must he suffer with his symptoms. They all can be helped if not completly controlled with meds. WTF I am shaking and i have not been this mad in a long time. Call or contact that sob and demand to see it again and don't leave with out some meds.

The possible dangers of EGCG.
This posting is a followup raising issues about the combination of EGCG + Salmon oil + Vitamin C or quercetin/bromelain with
levodopa
as a substitute for Carbidopa/
levodopa
(EGCG....

levodopa

Is it OK to take Mucuna ALONG WITH Sinemet?
Must my dad back off/down Carbidopa-
Levodopa
in order to use the Mucuna Pruriens I ordered for him and am reordering since it does help sometimes? Will switching from 15% to 20% help? Will switching to powder help? Is there a better brand? He is NOT on Azilect.

Was this patient's long history of meditation a factor in the remission of his PD?
The accuracy of the initial PD diagnosis is supported by appropriate clinical presentation, history of positive response to Sinemet (i.e. carbidopa
levodopa
) , and an abnormal SPECT DaT scan. This case therefore suggests the possibility of remission of symptoms in some patients.

Dyskinesia: Lessons from Africa
The results show that motor fluctuations and dyskinesias are not associated with the length of time on
levodopa
therapy, but rather with longer disease duration and higher
levodopa
daily dose.

Restless Leg Syndrome & Parkinsons
Hi I have had restless leg symptoms for nearly a year, since starting
levodopa
treatment for Parkinsons disease. I have read that
levodopa
can make RLS worse (augmentation), but if I stop taking
levodopa
, my PD symptoms return. I wondered if anyone else has this issue.

Neck pain - any recommendations to supplement the medication?
He has started low dose of Sinemet, Carbidopa and
levodopa
and he is on waiting list for Physio. Just wondering if anyone has found anything that can supplement these to relieve the pain i.e. massage, acupuncture, or anything else? TIA

Recommended questions for neurologist?
He's already on Carbidopa-
Levodopa
and newly on Amantadine which has really helped. He's wheelchair bound with legs virtually permanently crossed. He can still eat regular food--tends to choke when taking a pill with water, though we usually grind up pills and give in applesauce.

Frequency of levodopa doses
I was diagnosed with Parkinson's in the USA and my dosage is half a tablet three times a day an hour before meals. Now I'm in the UK and my new neurologist says that is wrong and I should space the pills eight hours apart. Who is right? I'd be grateful for any advice
