Can LDN benefit with V low cortisol
Hi.. I'm new to this site and hoping to get some advice from follow users who have benefited using LDN for very low cortisol. I've been really unwell for the past 3 years. Bed bound at times. Deliberating headaches to extreme fatigue and mood swings, sinus. I also have hypothyroidism and hashimoto.

Scientists hail earwax test for checking stress hormone levels
Over the years there has been much discussion about how to measure cortisol. Interesting to read about a new approach. Certainly has the singular advantage over blood testing of being straightforward to get the sample. Not sure quite why they seem to emphasise depression so strongly. I'm sure low cortisol

Been to hormone specialist...not sure what to think?!
I am new here, but not new to thyroid problems. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos in 2001 after years of symptoms no doctor could explain: high blood pressure difficult to control even with medication, hair loss, high cholesterol, weight gain and fluid retention. Doctors suggested I was eating too much

Symptoms on T3
I just started taking T3 a week ago - was on a compounded slow release T3/T4 from the US for most of the year (but labs were awful), and then went back on WP thyroid for 3 weeks before starting T3. On Dr's instructions, I started by reducing 1 grain of NDT, and adding the T3. I've experimented a bit

Does what thyroid medication you take depends if you have adrenal problems or not ? Im hypo thyroid& low cortisol. Are some more affective ?
I have low cortisol but not addisons ( I had a short synthan and just passed) and am also hypothyroid but no antibodies. I have just been prescribed Levothyroxine . I’m wondering if there’s different reasons to being hypo and if it’s caused by adrenals ( I’ve been In a high state of stress for a long

Help! What's going on?
URGENT! What's the difference between low cortisol and hyperthyroidism? I'm losing weight quickly, agitated, nervous, high BP, high HR, low temperature. I don't have blood tests yet.

New labs after abstaining from all(!) supplements for a month. Previous tests were done after only eight days and therefore meaningless
In my last post about my results, after abstaining from ALL supplements for about eight days, including metavive and adrenavive (whole bovine/porcine gland and whole adrenal gland respectively) I had blood tests and reported the following: Ft3 4.6 pmol/L (3.5 - 6.5) TSH mU/L< 0.03 (0.35 - 5.5) Ft4

Results blood test... first time thyroid
Hi just wondered if anyone could help my sister. I have Hashimoto's and an underactive thyroid - levothyroxine 100 µg. My younger sister has some symptoms which are very similar to mine. She's always been Vitamin b12 deficient and has had injections in the past. However no-one has ever suggested that

Licorice to help their low cortisol ?
I am wondering if anyone has had any positive experience of taking licorice to encourage, and increase their low cortisol ? My early morning cortisol has been low for a while now, and at each Saliva report, the increase in the early morning sample is small !! So I'm thinking of trying some licorice

Cortisol results help....
My serum Cortisol result is 598 with no range given, blood was drawn at 9.20am. I had it done as I don't feel brilliant! Apparently it's in range but I'm wondering whether it's a bit high. Any help you lovely people can give me would be much appreciated. 🤓

Adrenal insufficiency: a general information post (does not replace medical advice)
Hi all - I just wrote an absolute essay in response to a question about adrenal insufficiency (AI from now on in this post) from steroids. Since this is a question that may crop up periodically (I know I've answered it before), I thought I would copy it here for general information, and to link to in

High Cortisol blood test
I got my blood cortisol test results tonight. I did it at 8.15am. It was 983 (113-456). In March it was 907. Since the March test I have added T3 to my levo. I’m now on 40mcg of T3 in three split doses. I’m also on 50mcg of levo that I take at night. I am waiting for the results of a cortisol saliva
