I’m currently on Latanoprost until I see my consultant
I’m currently on Latanaprost 1 drop both eyes per night until I see my consultant next Thursday. I’m newly diagnosed and been on them a week and a half. Will they keep the pressures reduced so as to not cause any more damage until I can get surgery? Anyone know how long it takes latanaprost to reduce

Trabeculectomy recovery
Hello everyone I'm now nearly 8 weeks post op from a combined lens extraction and trabeculectomy in my right eye. Recovery has been... a process but so far everything has been going well but I'm a little concerned as my eyeball has become quite hard/firm when I try to massage it, just over the last

Trab waiting list and a few questions about Trab and NTG
I posted a month ago about the turn round of my diagnosis from a new doctor. I just had another exam and consultation with two more doctors. They are unanimous about the necessity of a trab, and very quickly. -otherwise, blindness, they spelled out. The doctor said my optic nerves are thin and in bad

Latanoprost - is it leaking out of my eyes?
Hi - I was just diagnosed with regular pressure glaucoma in one eye 2 weeks ago, and given latanoprost drops to use every evening. I've read all the instructions, I put in one drop, feel it go into my eye, hold a finger over my tear duct for 1 minute, then repeat on the other side. But more often than

Latanoprost drops
For those that use Latanoprost drops at night, do you put them in at the same time every night, or put them in just before you get into bed, so the time varies each day

Advice regarding high eye pressure
Hi, I hope you don’t mind me asking a question. I had an acute vitreous detachment with retinal tear on Xmas day and after 2 lots of laser treatment I went for my follow up. They couldn’t dilate my pupils to check the tear/if any more as my eye pressure had shot up to 32. It’s always been borderline.

SLT update
I went to the eye clinic today to find out if my second SLT had managed to lower my eye pressures. Unfortunately it hasn’t worked so I have been prescribed Latanoprost. There doesn’t seem to be much evidence that a second SLT will be effective if the first one wasn’t so although disappointed I was prepared

SLT Success 😀
Just wanted to share some positive news after my SLT four weeks ago. Went for my check up today and my pressures were down to 7 & 8, my consultant was extremely pleased to say the least. Were in 20s to start, down to 15 & 16 following cataract ops and latanoprost for a short while, but no more drops

Thanks and a few questions Part II-- Latanoprost doesn't seems to be working
Thanks for your comments, everybody. "No one moves this world leaving no trace'', that is true, with a caveat. I remember my favorite sequence in "It's a wonderful life'' where James Stuart character sees the world without him. It always makes me cry just to think about it. The question is: is it

Traumatic afternoon at eye clinic UPDATE
Further to my post sent yesterday. Just had a call from the consultant's secretary. After looking at my notes, which had turned up, the doctor I saw on Monday wants me to try the eye drops she prescribed. According to her I am not allergic to Timolol, only to the other ingredient - Bimatoprost. How

Traumatic afternoon at eye clinic!
Had an appointment yesterday afternoon at 1.45pm to check my eye pressures. Got there, only to be told that my appointment for some unknown reason had been cancelled! I hadn't received any communication to let me know, so had to wait for about 20 minutes while the receptionist looked for my notes and
