Low tsh but is it result of taking NDT?
I just had a blood test that has come back with a tsh of 0.05 range is 9.0 to 25.0, I think it was similar on last test 2 yrs ago and I think it is because I take NDT . Would any think this is too low? , should I reduce my ndt, have been taking 3 grains of thyroid s for last 2 years. I do feel jittery

help understanding bloods
Hi, I was put on 75mg of thyroxine one day, 100 mg the next day after the previous blood results. After the latest blood results I’ve been put on to 2 grams of NDT per day Can someone explain the doctors thinking, please. All she said was I wasn’t converting t4 to t3. Thanks

Thyroid S NDT
I've been struggling to get hold of my usual NDT since before Covid and feeling pretty rubbish. I've noticed since that it has become available again but the price has gone astronomical and I simply can't afford to pay hundreds of pounds to get it from where I used to. I'm desperate to feel well again

Starting off on T4/T3 combo
Newly discovered Hashimoto's from private blood test, due to see GP and also a private thyroid specialist in the coming weeks and thinking about what I want to do. Plan is to try and get Levo from NHS GP, and then look more in depth with private doctor about the full picture with vitamins, cortisol etc

Natural T4 vs synthetic T4
All the experts say there two are essentially the same. But is that definitely the case? Some people (my wife for one) can't tolerate synthetic T4. At present she's T3 only. Just wondering if she might be able to tolerate Armour or other NDT, eg. because the natural thyroxine is bound to a transport

vitamins etc and thyroid function
hi guys, just trying to get my head around Vitamins etc. My son is 20 and has just had his TSH come in at 4.5 ( above range with medichecks)… I’m so reluctant to think he may need treatment for thyroid now as I feel sorry for him I guess and am trying to understand whether optimum levels of vits/iron

Consultant recommendations requested please
If you have had a good experience with a private consultant please could you message me their details? I am especially interested if they have been helpful to you regarding: Hashimoto's Adrenal function / fluctuating cortisol levels ... has helped you to investigate: 'Pooling' of T3 Reverse T3 Someone

NTD dose advice please
2 weeks ago I started on Armour NDT as I wasn’t coping well on Levo. My DIO2 result came back as confirmed on one side so this might be partly a cause if not feeling great on Levo. The prescribing doctor suggested a dose of 3 grains of Armour and said I could start on that dose right away. Following

Pernicious Anaemia
Hi Guys I have had B12 above reference range (NHS UK so probably a very outdate reference range system) GP told me it was high a year ago. Nobody had told me! I don't take any B12 supplements or multi vitamins ( I take Vit D and Vit c separately daily only) I also have "borderline" full blood count

Getting private prescriptions on NHS
Seeing GP soon to try and push for a diagnosis (rising TSH over time, low T4, now private test showing high antibodies), but I'm also booked into a private thyroid clinic next month. This is mainly because I want things to be managed at least initially by someone who is confident in terms of dosing and

Cost of NDT.
What's the cost of NDT? Just looking for a ball park figure for what NDT would cost me if I was to try it. Regards, Joe
**** Please be careful in your response not to name any suppliers of NDT. Thank you.****

What do you think?
These are my results and I feel tired, aching muscles and grumpy. Also I’ve had UTIs almost constantly since Christmas. Although I will say my brain fog isn’t anywhere as bad as pre medication which is a light at the end of a very long tunnel! TSH 0.01 (0.27-4.2) no change from 2 grains Free T3 6.1

Can NDT make Hashimoto's worst?
Hello All, I've been struggling to work out my thyroxine dose for 4-5 months (raised TSH of 6, 30% T3 level, ), and things are not getting any better. Actually, getting worst - sleep problems, nightmares, anxiety, low appetite, a lot of fatigue, I struggle function during the day. I've tried endless

lab draw
I know to wait 6-8wks in between dosage changes. I am on NDT - same dose last 5mos. & just recently added a smidge more. I am, only, interested in my FT3 lab #s. Since T3 is fast acting and short lived in the body is there any reason I can't have my FT3 tested anytime and have an accurate read? Thanks

Price of NDT vs T3.
Haven't posted for a while but read the forum daily. Anyway I've been on NDT only for a few months now (using an old Thyroid S supply I bought several years ago). I've struggled on Levo monotherapy despite being prescribed 150mcg daily. TSH is low but so are FT4 and FT3. Honestly never felt particularly
