Keytruda and the side effects
Hi everyone I'm currently having
keytruda
and have been on it for almost a year. I have in the last fews months started to experience very sore joints especially in my hands but pretty much in most joints. Has anyone else experienced this and what treatment was used to ease the pain.

Xtandi+Keytruda may still work after Xtandi alone fails
In a small trial, 5 of 28 men (18%) got a PSA response (dropped at least by half) from the combination even after Xtandi alone failed. Median survival among responders was 42 months (some still alive at follow-up) vs 19 months for non-responders. It is not clear how to choose those who will respond

Higher dose/ less frequent Keytruda early data promising in Keynote 555 trial
Giving the anti-PD-1 immune checkpoint inhibitor pembrolizumab (
Keytruda
) at a higher dose but less often was safe and effective in patients with unresectable or metastatic melanoma, interim data from KEYNOTE 555 showed.

Stable disease. What does it mean?
She’s on
keytruda
and is coping really well with the treatment. She has it once every 6 weeks. Her treatment hasn’t been delayed or affected by coronavirus which were so grateful. Obviously we’d love to hear that the cancer is shrinking, but I guess stable is good? Hope you’re all keeping well.

Slight update / new info
We are happy with
Keytruda
and the relief he has received from it. Not sure what’s going on inside since the last PET scan but I’m hoping it’s keeping it at bay or still continuing to shrink! (Best case scenario)!

Here is some Hope for you
I was slim on options and booking flights for PSMA scans and trips to Germany, when I found I was MSI-H and eligible for
Keytruda
. My PSA went from 86 to undetectable after 2 cycles. It’s been several months and I just got infusion #8 and my PSA remains undetectable.

Intro
I’ve been on a number of clinical trials and have been waiting to participate in an immunotherapy trial with Olaparib and
Keytruda
. I had proton therapy as first line treatment but cancer returned 18 months later in 2015.

Need ideas post Xtandi and Zytiga
Yesterday I asked about
Keytruda
but was told he has to have satellite instability to be approved for that. His Foundation One test doesn’t show satellite instability—only PTEN deletion and TMPRSS ERG Fusion. Thanks for any ideas from the super smart folks on here.

New study looking at use of flu vaccines in melanoma patients on Keytruda released
This has been a question Wayne and I have posed for 5 years that has some initial data covering actual patients who had at least one dose of pembro over several flu seasons of patient tracking. Good article to share with your docs in advance of the 2020-2021 season: https://www.medpagetoday.com/reading-room

Questions to ask
He indicated she does not have marker for
Keytruda
. What questions do we ask and where do we go from here. We have been extremely blessed up to this point and she has done very well except the last few months have been pretty challenging. Stay safe and sending blessings to all..

Keytruda and COVID-19
Due to
Keytruda
, my husband has reached total response! What a year it has been! Now I am quarantined in our home scared to death of this virus. I want to know about the immune systems reaction to this virus while on
Keytruda
? Can someone explain why it’s dangerous? Thanks Randi

Keytruda for more than 2 years?
Trying to find out if there is anyone who stayed on
Keytruda
after 2 years of treatment. After my research, the recommended duration for being on
Keytruda
is 24 months. I wonder what patients do after 24 months?

Allowable NSAIDS
But he was not familiar enough with the
Keytruda
implications to know the proper thing to do. For "normal" pleurisy he would prescribe NSAIDS. Or some steroid medication (steroids are not allowed with
Keytruda
).
