Parent of newly diagnosed teenager
He's now on
Keppra
and I guess we won't know how effective it is until months have passed without more episodes. He doesn't want to talk about it and we're trying hard to give him the space he clearly needs. He has great friends and is partying quite a lot to find his way through this.

new diagnosis after seizures starting 4 weeks ago, 37 weeks pregnant. Any advice?
Due to being pregnant I have been seen pretty quick by neurology who diagnosed epilepsy seizures and started me on
keppra
. I think they believe they are focal seizures with 2nd generalisation.

Anyone ever feel like your brain has "reset"
My neurologist won't give me any credence, from day one she said anxiety, even though it's been proven without a shadow of a doubt.s till waiting for them to switch the brand of
Keppra
back. But it just seems like a lot rn,but I'm told to just get on and stop being anxious.

Pneumonia and Azathioprine/Prednisolone
I've been having maybe a month and a half of apnoec and SOB episodes which were finally improving after a few weeks of antiepileptic medication,
Keppra
. But as the dose increased, I could feel, (i know it sounds weird), but could feel my immunity just going non existent.

brain radiation, delayed treatments, seizures
They got him on IV fluids, a seizure medication called
Keppra
, and he was getting a blood transfusion. (As his levels are so low, I won’t be surprised if he has more than 1 transfusion.) He sounds better this morning and is eager to leave the hospital.

Switching from high dose Lamotrigine to Keppra
It has been decided to swap me to
Keppra
from today. The consultant is putting me on 500mg Lamotrigine plus 2 x 500mg
Keppra
from today. (He'll increase the
Keppra
over the next few weeks) Has anybody ever done this and could you give me some idea of how this will impact on my day to day life?

What's your first dose when starting out on Keppra?
Hi, I've just been told to switch from Lamotrigine to
Keppra
, but not given a starting dose. The neurologist said to head for 750mg x 2 per day, but no other details, then he retired!! . How has anyone else started? thanks

Remos - Progress update
I’ve been advised to change/transition anti-seizure drugs from a current high dosage of
Keppra
to medium dosage level of Lamotrigine. This is a 16 week schedule (I’m in week 10). I’ve been feeling “out-of-sorts” throughout this process. 3. No seizures since discharged in July last year. 4.

Moving from Keppra to Lamotrigine.
I am just coming to the end of my 2nd week of starting to take Lamotrigine whilst still taking my regular dose of
Keppra
. The intention is to build up the Lamotrigine whilst weaning off of
keppra
over the next few weeks.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa
That is until weeks later when I was asking questions by then I was on 1500mg of
Keppra
. Which also changed me a bit in terms of temperament and other side effects. Had to have navigational sinus surgery. Results showed the super bug and his relative Burkholderia.

Long term side effects of Lamictal on bones and teeth?
I took Lamictal for my JME epilepsy, with
Keppra
, Epilim and Fycompa, my dentist was always ticking me off for years, I was paying for expensive fillings, crowns, etc, I wondered why, even going onto electric toothbrushes, still severe 'slap on the wrists' "Why don't use ...." blah, blah, then when
