NEPC -Chemo not working
So my father just had his third round of
Jevtana
and carboplatin. We are all highly suspicious that the chemo is not working. It is keeping his PSA stable but the chromogranin A continues to rise. Although he is at the CITY OF HOPE it seems that the CAR-T treatment is still awaiting IRB.

Neuroendocrine PC on Chemo Jevtana & carboplatin
After 1st cycle Of
Jevtana
and carboplatin we were really hoping to see some significant-drop in PSA and CGa. His PSA went from 16.4 to 17.2 a very minor increase. Is this a normal flare? Is chemo even working? What’s the next step if it doesn’t?

Doug is currently on his third round of chemo (
Jevtana
) and just finished the fifth of six treatments. Starting to feel like we are running out of option treatments and are hopefully for a longer remission time between treatments this go round.

Diagnosis of NEPC- Low PSA High Chromogranin A
He failed Xtandi (3mo absolutely no changes) and now was recommended to start
Jevtana
and carboplatin. He has so far had chemo #1. As I was doing some research Today I recall Dr.Kwan explaining that it does not have the “small cell pattern” but definitely looks like Neuroendocrine involvement.

Jevtana, Carboplatin, and fasting
Kwon’s recommendations except she said it would be better to begin with
Jevtana
instead of Docetaxel. As i was looking through many of the posts and reading the responses from others i noticed that fasting and chemo is a good idea. And interestingly Dr.

Has anyone suffered with severe headaches?
This week, he starts
Jevtana
which I hope he can tolerate. He still suffers with some neuropathy in both hands and feet. Recently, he's been complaining about a severe headache which he's had almost daily. It does improve if he takes something very strong like hydrocodone.

Jevtana [Cabazitaxel] & Androgen Status.
Jevtana
is a taxane (as is Taxotere), & was approved by the FDA for men with CRPC in 2010. Typically, in castrate-resistant PCa [CRPC], the cancer remains androgen-sensitive & has found alternative sources.

"Role of PARP Inhibitors Clarified in Prostate Cancer"
The study enrolled 50 patients who were no longer responding to standard treatments, including docetaxel (Taxotere), abiraterone acetate (Zytiga), enzalutamide (Xtandi), or cabazitaxel (
Jevtana
). Genomic sequencing was performed on tumor biopsies as a requirement of the study.

Jevtana Results
I started my chemo treatment with
Jevtana
(Cabazitaxel) after Taxotere was not able to contain the lymph nodes tumor growth around my bladder or lower my PSA and I was wondering if other guys have gone this route and what were the results. I have already gone through Xtandi, Zytiga etc....
