Feeling woefully undermedicated……
Ferritin continues to be inadequate 42 ug/L [23.0 - 300.0] and I’ve ordered a full
iron
panel. I think I’ve read that low ferritin can be a factor poor tolerance of thyroid medication. Can anyone confirm or elaborate on this?

Comments On Blood Test Results Please
I note from comparing my last T3 that it remains the same; my TSH is the same but my T4 is down, and my
Iron
has been slowly decreasing over the last two years of tests. If anyone wants to know for reference, I will post figures asked for, but I've already written enough.

Clonazepam instead of Pregabalin?
He wasn't interested in listening to anything I had to say about
iron
, ferritin etc. I have tried different medications over the years for severe RLS including Ropinirole (which I managed to wean myself off after reading the excellent advice on this forum) and Gabapentin.

Cirrhosis?
In April I had another Endoscopy because my
iron
was low and they suspected I had bleeding varices. It was found that I had 3 grade 1 varices but no bleeding. I was surprised because I thought that this was associated with Cirrhosis.

Any thought as to why ? ? ?
Mean cell heamoglobin conc, blood 313 g/L Low 😗 I cant help but wonder why considering I am prescribed folic acid plus I take gentle
iron
. I had a full blood count done when I saw the reumatologist but as yet not received the results to compare. I shall try and chase them up tomorrow.

New results for my Daughter 3 months on
I've also included the
Iron
Panel results she had recently in case these can be re-interpreted. Particularly the TIBC and UIBC which are out of range. SeasideSusie has commented on the general

results, thank you!

coming off Pramipexole and Ropinorole
I will also take
iron
tablets, with orange juice, an hour before breakfast so on an empty stomach, then I can take my calcium tablets mid morning without them interfering with the
iron
absorption, is that correct?

Advice on iron supplements
My ferrin is low, so I'm going to start
iron
supplements. I'd appreciate any good quality links and sources of information re: dosage. I intend to test ferritin again in 4-6 weeks. Onwards and upwards! 😊
