New here and just wanted a little advice as it isn't forthcoming from my consultant. Treatment following iodine treatment.
After years of trying unsuccessfully to sort my hyperthyroidism I had my
iodine
treatment at the end of June.

I had my laparoscopy and hysteroscopy yesterday and feeling very sore and bloated today. They’ve prescribed me codeine and told me to take paracetamol and ibuprofen too when needed. What can I do to help relieve the pain from the bloating? All my gynaecologist has told me is that I have a lot of endometriosis

TSH of 18.76 yet i'm told i'm on "appropriate medication"
Hi all, I know TSH isn't everything, however, I'm puzzled as to how the notes on my file after my NHS TFT last week say "on appropriate medication"! Just to recap, I had been taking 100mg levo daily for 6 weeks (having reduced from 125mg after being well over range for T4 and having symptoms). My private

What's an average thyroid gland size? How small is mine in comparison after RAI? Measurements are here.
I had RAI many years ago, and now take T3 with T4. I was interested to find out how much of my thyroid is left, and I wondered if it being smaller was the reason I now need the T3. So I had a private thyroid ultrasound done. It gives me measurements, but doesn't say how it compares with a 'normal' or

Hi there, I had my laparoscopy November so three months ago now. I’ve been fine until the weekend just gone. I was up all night in absolute agony only painkiller to help was codeine. I thought the laparoscopy was meant to stop these pains for a while?

Non drowsy pain medication?
Hi all, I have endo between uterus and bowel, my left ovary is stuck to my pelvis and bowel and I have adeno as well. I've only tried ibuprofen, paracetemol, naproxen, codeine and co-codamol (over the counter strength) for pain relief and co-codamol works best to take the edge off. Unfortunately it

Question to those who have stopped taking Thyroid-S
I´d like to hear from members who no longer take Thyroid-S. I realise there is something in Thyroid-S that does not agree with me. When I take it, I get terrible itching all over my body. If I go off it for a few days, the itching stops. When I go back on TS, the itching comes back. I think I am reacting

What dose of daily
iodine

as 100% of the Daily Value but I have seen that some websites recommend much larger daily doses of
iodine
for hypothyroid patients. Thanks very much
