I’m concerned about the
iodine
in it but other components such as magnesium may be helping. She has a blood test soon and I’ve suggested she tries to get folate, ferritin, B12 and D measured. Any other thoughts?

Airedalelady
Someone has told me this would probably contain
Iodine
, which would not work with thyroid meds. Could someone please clarify. Thankyou.

Problems with Teva?
I have graves disease which was treated with radioactive
iodine
in 2013. Since then I have been taking Accord Levothyroxine with no problems. Two months ago the pharmacy gave me Teva I didn't think anything of it. Since then I have gradually become very ill.

upping meds in pregnancy plus vitimins.
Currently only taking the following vits, as I understand pregnancy vitimins contain too many things that hypothyroid people shouldn’t have like
iodine
and are also apparently not that effective anyway in multi vit form. 10ug vit D drops 210mcg ferrous fumerate every other day (as apparently aids

Thyroid Genetic Panel - Results
Ensure adequate intake of
iodine
and selium to support the pathway. DI02 - suggest taken T4/T3 therapy, calcium and Vitamin D for low mood. PDE8B - TSH Signalling - The A allele on rs4704397 is linked to reduced thyroid sensitivity to TSH stimulation.

Iodine avidity in papillary and poorly differentiated thyroid cancer is predicted by immunohistochemical and molecular work-up
In order for radio-
iodine
treatment to work, the radioactive
iodine
has to be taken into the target tissue. "Avidity" is how strong the uptake of
iodine
into the tissue is. The higher the avidity, the better at absorbing
iodine
, and the more likely the treatment is to be successful.

Several symptoms pointing to kidney issue ?
I have an appointment for a CT scan with
iodine
contrast in a few weeks for an abdominal pain. I wonder if taking the
iodine
contrast is a good idea - the hospital doesn't have alternate contrast. Thanks!

Unfortunately because I am allergic to
Iodine
, I was unable to have it in the medium for the CT Scans and therefore the surgeon won’t know if I’ll need to have the lobe or the whole lung removed until he gets inside it.

On Lithium, have hypothyroidism,no longer responding to T4 and less to T3. Starting low iodine diet.
It seems Lithium concentrates
Iodine
to high levels in the thyroid gland and this causes damage. Out of desperation I am trying a low
Iodine
diet to see if this helps. Has anyone tried a low
Iodine
diet or is also struggling with Lithium therapy and Hypothyroidism? Many thanks

MichaelJH - An Update
It was looking slightly better today, but still very nasty, after a change to silver dressings from the previous
iodine
dressings. It gets quite confusing as different consultants have different opinions and different podiatrists different views on the right dressing.

Endo is recommending radioactive iodine
However, treatment may not work or may cause adverse side effects and Radioactive
Iodine
treatment may then be necessary. I have an appointment to discuss radioactive
iodine
therapy with the consultant on Tuesday, and am preparing questions. Any advice?

Surgery or not.
The 2 being radioactive
iodine
and surgery. Her opinion being surgery was the best one for my age(48) even with the risks and even with having to take a pill then forever. I was diagnosed with Graves a year ago and hospitalised with symptoms.

Radioactive Iodine
I've just been offered Radioactive
Iodine
. Seems a bit early in my journey but I'd like to get sorted. I'd be grateful for the thoughts of those who know more about thyrotoxicosis than I do please. Best wishes

Help!
I did the
Iodine
test where you put a patch of
iodine
on your forearm, and if it disappears in an hour, it means your thyroid is crying out for insulin. The dr had never heard of it.! When I did the test, the
iodine
disappeared within an hour.

Has anyone any experience of alternatives? Bugleweed herb? Or motherwort for palpatations?
Functional herb doc thinks I didn't need the extra
iodine
and I created hot nodules against this while my system was suppressed with grief and stress. Carbimazole does zilch for nodules so hoping for radio ablation. Not keenon radioactive anything especially with risk of leukemia after.

To Thyroidectomy or Not to Thyroidectomy
I cannot do radioactive
iodine
because I also have Graves' induced Thyroid Eye Disease. This has been a shit year. Currently, I feel okay but all my thyroid levels are completely NOT normal.

Blood results within range. Is this a problem?
[i]After being diagnosed with atrial fibrillation five years ago and an ambiguous NHS blood test showing possible subclinical hypothyroid symptoms I decided, as my diet is mostly plant based, to take a vegan multivitamin/mineral including
iodine
