Monthly blood tests
When you have monthly tests for chemo/parps etc, they check for red cells etc don t they. Ive been found to have B12 deficiency which changes the cells, wouldnt this have become apparent during the tests ?

Atari trial one year on
hello all. I’m reporting back about my 1 year on ATARI trial. I had my results back from my scan and it’s still showing no visible disease. I was apprehensive this time as chemo treatment only worked for a few months. This trial is not chemo based. This time last year I was pinning all my hopes on

A critical review of Provenge. Your inputs welcomed?
Any thoughts on this critical review. One thing that strikes me as odd, is how there is no information regarding efficacy since 2012. That's 10 years. If something works well, then why isn't there new data showing that? Some people say, it can't hurt, so just do it. That makes sense if it is true

One last battle
Yesterday I learned that my PSA went from 14 to 19 in 3 weeks and scans show my cancer is progressing in bones, liver and bladder. I was taken off the (3rd) trial and told that there’s nothing else for me in the MD Anderson Cancer Center GU oncology department. Sent home to do cabazitaxel/carboplatin

Hello! New poster…
Hi all, Nice to meet you! My name is Georgia, and I can’t tell you how much reading this forum has helped me over the past year. It’s taken a while, but I’m now finally getting the courage to post. I’m 25, my fabulous mum is 53, and was diagnosed with stage 4 in December 2022. She’s really fit and

Docetaxel/Taxotere. 2nd time in 3 years. It's a no go this time. No benefit after 3 infusions.
A cancer work around making a good treatment plan not workable. Good news is although PSA kept rising during infusions scans show no new growth but no shrinkage either. Same old diffuse bone mets I have always had. Current PSA at 80. Brief history PSA 11/2019--1,621. Bone mets diffuse from skull

Anybody had MBC change from E + to triple negative? Anybody on Taxol?
I saw my onc this morning and got surprising news! After over 18years with MBC, and treatment with anti-hormonal meds, my cancer cells have changed to TN and the onc is recommending Taxol. I'm wondering what those infusions are like--how long is each infusion? How soon does hair begin thinning, falling

What first?: Provenge or Nubeqa?
I have not used 2d line AR drugs yet. CRPC just started six months ago. My PSA is below 1. One small, suspected area on last month's PSMA PET scan. That is the same area that looked suspicious on PSMA PET in 2016 and on Axumin in early 2021. I did IADT 2016-2020, with continuous ADT since Jan 2021

Early Xmas gift
I wanted to share that my most recent PSA is 0.04. We started this journey with a PSA of 935 in February on this year, stage 4 and multiple metastatic lesions throughout. My wife considers this her Xmas gift since we started on this journey. Next comes a CT scan on Dec 30 which I’m hoping shows some

Pluvicto / Lu-177 - Do it now or later?
I am a metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer patient having undergone most SOC (RP, SR, docetaxel, ADT, Xtandi, Zytiga, Oliparib) steps. Now, like others, faced with very limited remaining SOC options: another round of the dreaded chemo like docetaxel or Lu-177 / Pluvicto. My mets, based

Immunotherapy
hi everyone I’ve been advised that I can start immunotherapy within 41 days of my 6 week chemo / radiation treatment ending which means mid January … I’m very apprehensive about immunotherapy as I’ve only heard mainly bad stories I guess ….. can anyone offer any positivity about it at all ? Re side effects

Setback
I managed to get the palliative chemo treatment in the hope I would be one of the lucky ones, but it wasn't to be. I had 4 sessions, the first with pemetrexed and carboplatin. but the following three I only got carboplatin, due to my kidneys giving a GFR reading of 37. The last chemo was 25 Nov and then

what’s typically after taxotere?
My father did 10 days radiation to lumbar spine and pelvis, is doing ADT (zytiga,Lupron) as well the xgeva. He just did his first round of taxotere last week and we’re gonna get him through the 6 rounds, god willing. What’s typically the next step after chemo? Does he then do immunotherapy? Also,

Trying to Figure out a couple of things
I have two questions, they're unrelated with each other. 1) Besides PTSD and Anxiety, I'm also Type 1 Diabetic, and I noticed that sometimes if I'm having a low BGL (blood sugar) sometimes I'll have an anxiety attack at the same time. I don't know why that is. I've been Type 1 for about 5 almost 6
