Knee inflammation
My questions although I will speak to my medical team, I know inflammation is a big concern with PV, does this inflammation come from the PV or JAK 2 or do you believe it’s from the
Interferon
(struggling to believe its the
Interferon
as I don’t take a huge dose). Does it sound like Gout?

JAK2V617F myeloproliferative neoplasm eradication by a novel

/arsenic therapy involves PML « We demonstrate that the IFNα+ATO combination specifically targets the Jak2V617F disease-initiating cells in vivo, with a much higher potency than IFNα alone.

Pain in the coxis, hips, groins and the whole legs. Do you have?
If you take
Interferon
, Pegasys, do it finish with this pain or not? And Hydroxiurea? What drug is recommended with bones pain? What kind of medical proofs? Any recommendations. It can be confused with arthritis, Hashimoto, or other diseases. How do you know about it? Thanks

Researchers discover how COVID-19 may trigger fatal levels of lung inflammation.
Responding to the COVID-19 pandemic caused by the novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, requires models that can duplicate disease development in humans, identify potential targets and enable drug testing. Specifically, access to primary human lung in vitro model systems is a priority since a variety of respiratory

Just diagnosed with ET calr positive 39 yr old male
Currently I’m on Hydroxycarbamide 500mg a day to bring my platelets down however I expect to move onto PEG
interferon
in a couple of months. I am nervous taking the HU due to my age however it seems to only be in short term. So far no side effects and I never have had any until the heart attack!

resveratrol, Interferons, early stage CLL.
Resveratrol, Interferons and benefits in early stage CLL. I came across a somewhat old article from 2008. The conclusions looked very promising but no idea whether anything came of this research. Anyways I went out to buy red onions and will eat them daily, just in case. Resveratrol might help fight

Calling Pegysus Interferon users!
Is there anything you discovered after starting
interferon
that you wish you’d known beforehand? Any experiences you’ve had (good, bad or indifferent!) that might be helpful? Please keep fingers and toes crossed for me! S 💚 UPDATE: Well yesterday certainly took a turn for the better!!

Coronavirus: Protein treatment trial 'a breakthrough'.
The treatment from Southampton-based biotech Synairgen uses a protein called
interferon
beta which the body produces when it gets a viral infection.

Longterm Interferon treatment
The drug of choice I am inclined to initially try is pegylated
interferon
, either pegasys or besremi, if available in the US soon. I am calling on patients who have used and/or are still using
interferon
. How does/ did it work for you? What were your side effects and quality of life?

Another weapon....
It has to be given via a nebuliser, directly into the lungs and uses a protein called
interferon
beta which provokes an immune response in the body to the virus. So, it's good to know that every day we are coming closer to tame this virus, even if we can't ever eliminate it.

Has anyone else had problems with bringing they're platelet count down? And finding the right treatment and dosage to do this?
The highest mine went up to were over 3000 but thankfully after dosage changes to the
interferon
Alfa a injection I inject weekly now on 180mcg, they have now gone down to just over 1000. Anyone else had problems with bringing they're platelet counts down? And finding the right treatment or dosage?

Milburn.
When I suggested
Interferon
the Consultant said if I wanted that I could have it but I sensed he felt the likely side effects were likely to be severe. He did admit that
Interferon
was less likely to interfere with my immune system. Left to me to decide which way to go.
