Is this newest pill absolutely safe??
Hi everyone, thank you for all your insights! It seems to me that no one seems to get any harsh side effects from this new pill. I haven't had a liver transplant and I am concerned. May I say I've gone through every clinical trial which included interferon injections, pegatron injections with ribavin

Starting Interferon
Well that was an interesting morning! Went to my appointment knowing I'd probably need to start treatment as my platelets have been climbing for a while - had decided to opt for HU and negotiate a delay of a couple of weeks as I've got a very busy October. Ended up opting for Pegasys instead and injecting

Moving to Interferon
My husband is about to switch to interferon from hydroxy. I see all the info here on side effects which is a worry as life has felt quite stable for the last couple of years. Does anyone have more positive experiences with interferon and not had such severe side effects? Does it take over ones life

Hypercalcemia
Hi all. I have been diagnosed with mild hypercalcemia and a raised PTH level. I was sent by my heam for head to toe bone x-rays, which thank god didn't show multiple myloma, or other cancers and am now waiting to see the endocrinologist as an urgent referral. I know it's to do with the thyroid glands

Waving Hullo!
hi there! Brand new here. I decided it was time to get some more support now that I have been placed on the transplant list. I was diagnosed with end stage liver disease 3 years ago, consisting of Fatty Liver, Hepatitis C and Alcoholic cirrhosis. I have been sober nearly 7 years, but did not get sick

Hepatitis C - The Long Goodbye
The long goodbye is often used to describe the drawn out fading of a person’s mind, who is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. But for my Mom, it was because of Hepatitis C.
