Inhalers making symptoms worse
Hello all. I was diagnosed with asthma 25 years ago aged 40. It doesn't give me too much trouble (though I have other major health issues)! For the last few months I have been wheezy and coughing a lot, something that I get maybe once a year for six to eight weeks. Usually I just tolerate it until it

Masks
Hi there I am new to this site and I hope someone can advise me , I have a mild form of Asthma and take one puff from my preventer inhaler twice a day, now I wish to know should I be wearing mask or not as I have seen many passengers coming onto the buses saying they have asthma and not wearing a mask

Asthma, sinusitis and masks
Montelukast was ineffective for my asthma and Ive tried several other steroid
inhalers
over the years. Fexofenadine didnt work for my allergies. Nasal sprays work for a short while and then stop working. I currently have fluticasone for the polyp as it returned but it doesnt help my allergies.

Ongoing asthma issues - recovery period
Hi all, Around 15 weeks ago I had several severe asthma attacks. I've been recovering since then and have made good progress in terms of being comfortable in the house, but my mobility remains limited. I can move around the house okay, but I'm still effectively housebound - if I walk for any real distance

Return to work during Pandemic - reasonable adjustments?

Newly prescribed combi inhaler (Relvar)
Having trouble controlling my asthma - doubled up Clenil 200 wasn’t making a huge difference. Just been prescribed Relvar for a month & wanted to know how others have found this combi inhaler. Any advice? Thanks.

Preventive Inhalers
Has anyone been changed from Seebri to Ultibro - as has been suggested to me - would appreciate it if you could tell me if it was better. Thank you in advance for your comments.

Week 1 run 2 done with recently diagnosed Asthma. ADVICE NEEDED
Hi everyone. After many false starts I have decided to try and lose some weight and get fitter. After lockdown I am now over 5 stone overweight. I confess the first run was a total shock and my legs were aching. Hamstrings were super tight and ankles sore. Dragged myself out yesterday for run 2 which

Recently diagnosed.....need advice!
hello, I was diagnosed with asthma in February (age 39). Then covid/lockdown happened and I basically haven't seen anyone since. I was prescribed fostair 200/6, this was due to being on clenil 100 and it being no help. I am after a bit of advice, I still struggle quite a bit with shortness of breath,

Week 5 Run 3 - I DID IT!!!
Second time's the charm as they say. Thank you all for your wonderful help. I did it with the NHS app today and had Laura's soothing voice talking to me when it got tough. I also took the advice about running downhill as much as possible which I managed to do. I eschewed my normal route (which probably

Help! Does anyone else have trouble breathing with excessive phlegm?
Hi. I have fibro/c.f. as part of an autoimmune disease. I also have asthma. I have been having these episodes for a while where I feel very sleepy and feel like I am not breathing well. If I use my inhaler, a few hours later, I cough up significant amounts of phlegm and then feel my breathing improve

I am not sure if flixotide caused it, but I read about possible skin thinning from

and wonder if this is the case

Asthma hit me out of the blue
Hello to everyone at A UK I joined Health Unlocked some time ago because I suffered from Polymyalgia Rheumatica and needed advice. It's a nasty auto immune condition that can be managed with steroids. I am one of the lucky people to make a recovery after 2 years. Now, I'm getting on happily with life

Asthma or anxiety?
I have tried 3 different steroid
inhalers
, had a course of prednisolone, a course of antibiotics, allergy tablets, air purifiers and also put onto montelukast. Nothing has made a difference in 4 months. Next thing we thought was maybe anxiety.
